“A lovely comfortable convenient hotel”
Reviewed February 8, 2014

I stayed at this hotel for 2 nights on 30th and 31st December on my way to Austria. On arriving in the car park I wasn't sure if I would be staying, but once inside the hotel it was completely different. Sebastian welcomed us and organised our luggage and room. We were rather keen for a drink after a long drive. The bar was not opened but Sebastian very kindly organised drinks for us with no fuss. The hotel is very clean, neat and tidy, the rooms are adequate everything you need. It is ideally placed for travelling into the Heidelberg the Tram stop is almost right outside the hotel. It takes about 10/15mins. Sebastian very kindly organised out tram tickets and gave all the information we needed. The breakfast was good, everything you could want including sparkling wine and smoked salmon. Fresh bread and rolls and hot food as well. It was well worth the cost. I would thoroughly recommend this hotel again and would definitely return. We recommended it to friends who also enjoyed their stay. As we were there for New Years Eve we had a fantastic night on the main Bridge in the centre of town to watch the fireworks. a truly lovely city to wander around.

Room Tip: Rooms at the back are quieter.

Friends had recommended this as a journey break from Innsbruck to Amsterdam and we were really pleased with the result. We had free parking and only a short journey to the beautiful city centre shops. Food was excellent, especially the breakfast.

We found the location of this hotel to be very convenient. Easy to get to from the main road & free parking. The tram that takes you into the city center has a station just across the street and is just a 15 minute ride. We used the tram to visit all of the sights and the Christmas market, tickets can be purchased at the hotel or the ticket machines at the station if you are comfortable giving those a try. The hotel is in a very quiet neighborhood (day & night) and there are shutters that can be lowered over the windows to block out ALL light. The restaurant looks very nice, though we did not eat there during our stay. Breakfast is expensive at 10 Euros, we opted to go to local bakeries instead. The staff is extremely friendly & helpful!! Would definitely recommend this hotel!

Room Tip: If you need complete silence at night, request a room on the opposite side from the tram tracks. We...

Just back from 4 days at this clean , efficient, and extremely friendly hotel. Whatever we needed or asked for was delivered.
Our room was well equipped and very clean. Soft pillows and good duvets. Bed was a little creaky but just needed to wriggle a few of the slats. Mattress possibly getting near the end of its life. A little noise from neighbouring rooms but the neighbours were fairly quiet. Food was excellent. For some, service might be a little slow but we treated each of our evenings there as a dining experience. Good beers and wines.
Watch out for no restaurant on Sunday evenings. However there is a good Italian a few hundred yards down the road just past the Italian take away.

Stayed at the hotel only for a night as part of a motorbike trip through Europe.

It was definitely good value, next to the tram which would take you to the city in about 15min. Driving it should be about 2miles to the old centre.

Friendly staff, would be happy to book again!

Lovely hotel, clean, easy parking, on tram line into city. Very helpful staff, told us how to catch tram, sold us tickets and made sure to tell us about validating ticket on tram. Had a great breakfast, absolutely spotless room and premises. Perfect for driving tourists as plenty of parking. Caught tram into town for a look around and had to try out the XL SNITZEL, and no, could not finish it even with my wife's help.

Room Tip: Any room would be ok as they are soundproofed, but a back room may give piece of mind.

My wife and I spent two lovely nights here in September 2013. Nice size room very comfy and clean. We had one evening meal and wished we had had two it was excellent. A tram runs from the Hotel into town centre and takes 14 mins. Which adds to experience. The stay was made enjoyable by tha friendly staff in particular Sebastion who greeted us and could not have been more helpfully.
