My family of 4 stayed for 3 nights in the suite room on the top floor. It was extremely roomy with 2 separate rooms for privacy. We had a table in the one room in which we were able to place our things and spread out. Room had one bathroom that was a good size. Rooms were very clean and beds comfortable and it was quiet with no street noise. Walter and his staff were friendly, VERY helpful with directions and catching a tram to Stauffen for a day visit. Wi-fi was difficult to access here, as we kept losing the signal, but we were able to pick it up in the room for the most part. We did not eat dinner there, but did take advantage of the breakfast which had a great variety of breads/croissants, yogurts, cold cuts and cheeses. Also multitude of teas and juices of which to choose from. Probably was one of the best/largest spreads of all the B&B's we stayed at in europe.
The hotel is also centrally located within Frieburg (close to trams and main train station - 10 min. walk) and it's easy to walk and navigate the city. Would highly recommend Schwartzwaelder to friends and would stay here again!More
