We had seen a few reviews about this hotel and after staying there for 3 nights last week all I can say that the other reviews were wrong! The staff were extremely helpful to us, the room comfortable, food great with restaurant view over the river. Beautiful scenery and walks and a few yards to the railway station for your free travel to Baden Baden or wherever in Germany. A wonderful start to our German holiday thank you.

Room Tip: Rooms overlooking river probably best as road can be a bit noisy but it didn't effect us.

I went with my mother daughter for a weekend. We booked the most expensive rooms to get adjoining rooms to help my 80 year old mother. We did not get adjoining rooms, we did not even get rooms on the same floor. The bathtub is inaccessible foe a older person it is so high. I brought it twice to the attention of the staff, nothing was done about it. The buffet on Thursday evening ran out of food, we left the dinner table hungry one other dinner was just plain old bad. I can not comprehend how this establishment received that star rating. Food and hotel don't deserve even one star. A manicure and pedicure that lasts 50 minutes for $ 90 which does not include nail-polish is way overpriced as well. I will never go back and made sure all my friends know about it too.

Room too small. One single bed. When travelling as single i prefer a double room.
In the restaurant i also got a single ultra small table
The hotel is tirerd and worn out.
The food is german and thus salt and greasy .

I love this place. i love to travel and want to see the world (all the countries) by the age of 50 so i never go twice to the same place. but this one i went triwe in one year and think i will go back every year. it a family run hotel, with real service like it should be, very good food, the nor;al restaurants shares the same kitchen as the michelin star restaurant (... go figure )
spa is amazing. overal prices are very good especially if you book with belgian jetair. the only thing you have to deal with is the old school decoration (german style, flowery curtains, ....)

We were suprised by the lack of English. The menu is totally in German, although the staff tried to help, their English wasn't good enough for a complete understanding. All hotel services, finess programs and the TV channels were all in German. We had a "confort room" that was decorated like your Grandma's house from the 1970's with faded flower bedspreads and ruffle pillows and a beige fixtured bathroom and worn out bathtub. We are in our 50s and were the youngest couple there.
