Room 323 with balcony and good view of the town and Altes Schloss. Comfortable and modern room with nice bath. Somewhat on the smaller side but fine for 2 people. Friendly English speaking front desk staff and there seems to be plenty of parking. Very short walks to the center of the city.

Stayed: September 2013, traveled with family

We stayed in room# 325 which is a corner room on the third floor (there is a lift). It seemed like a recently renovated room with modern furnishings and fresh paint. There is a balcony which if you look left offers a nice view of the city center below. I didn't mind the short walk up/down the hill on which the hotel is located as I prefer to be close to the action but in a quiet space to sleep. There are a dozen or so free off-street parking spots, free street parking, and a pay-to-park garage underneath the hotel. The kitchen was closed when I arrived at 9 pm but the kitchen staff allowed me to order an entree and it was delicious. Breakfast was not included in my rate.

Idyllic hotel with top views down into Baden Baden town. 10 min walk downhill to centre. Recently refurbished and pleasantly decorated. Breakfast is very minimal but the location makes up for it! The room we stayed in was spacious and the bathroom modern and clean.

Room Tip: Get the hotel voucher before paying at spas!

We spend 3 nights at this hotel we spend 400 euro for what ??!!
All baden baden hotels are near green area ! All baden baden hotels are near city center ! All baden baden hotel are near casino / theater area !! So what is the reason to Tay at this hotel ?
NO one !!
After 3 they do not offer food !
After 10 they close everything
When they have private party they do not give you even a water
And if you don't have a car u will suffer up the hill ...

Room Tip: Rooms in the next block are ok

Lovely building. Modern bright decor. Rooms comfortably appointed, but not luxurious. No air con or tea/coffee making facilities in the room. Large bathroom with a large shower (no bath). The restaurant terrace has super views over the town. Close to the Caracalla Spa and the town centre, but a steep climb back up the hill to the hotel, so not for anyone with limited mobility unless you have a car or use taxis. For some reason, we thought the hotel had its own pool. It does, but it apparently hasn't been in use for a couple of years. Who needs the hotel pool when you have the Spa in town, which is fabulous. We have a thermal spa close to our home here in Somerset (Bath) but in our opinion the Caracalla Spa exceeded the Thermae Bath Spa experience. Basking in the outdoor pools on a sunny afternoon was one of the highlights of our trip. Staff at the hotel were helpful at all times. On check in, we were given a Baden-Baden visitor pass which gave us an additional hour free in the Spa (so we got three hours for the price of two). We ate dinner in town. There are lots of restaurants to choose from. We chose Lowenbrau for Sausage, Sauerkraut and Steins and were pleased with our traditional German dining choice (the staff were even in traditional costume). The breakfast buffet selection at the hotel was quite basic, so if we returned to stay at the hotel we might venture out to the town to hunt Fruhstuck. A great stop over on our German road trip. We will hopefully pay a return visit to Baden-Baden.

Room Tip: Ask for a room with a view of the town
