The building is very photogenic and looks great when illuminated with coloured lights in the evening.
We arrived at noon on a Sunday and although the building was open, the tourist info centre was closed and the place looked very dark and dingy with minimal lighting. The spa water fountain was closed due to hygiene reasons so there was little to see and do in the Trinkhalle and it was a rather unfulfilling visit.
We didn't try the cafe which has lovely views over the gardens and some luxurious looking chesterfield settees to sink into whilst enjoying coffee and cakes

I know they have to repair and renovate but it was unfortunate that during our stay some of the paintings were hidden - however the bits we could see were really impressive and grand. The 'free water' was out of order too, until October - my poor timing but still a worthwhile trip

This place has a lovely Old-World atmosphere with an outdoor terrace surrounded by a garden and large lawn. Excellent wines and coffees, as well as small snacks. Free international newspapers to enjoy and plush, leather chairs and couches. There is also a bar and a few tall tables with stools. Service is excellent, attentive and unobtrusive. My only quibble is they charge 50 centimes to use the toilet.

Not much to see here and while I was there the famous 'water' was not running!! Bar overlooking gardens, but lacking any atmosphere.

Enter this gorgeous cafe and step back in time with all the comforts and service of today. Wonderful coffee and cake, free English newspapers to read in very relaxing atmosphere either indoors or in their beautiful garden. Staff are very friendly and obliging.
