This was a great little pension style hotel, convenient to everything in Baden-Baden especially the spas. Quiet location, except the church bells, but I was not at all bothered. It was clean and modern, looked like a newly done bath. Very comfortable, and the staff was extremely friendly and helpful when we asked for things. The breakfast, included was excellent, and was impressive for its home-made jams, muesli, and even yogurt, and mentioned all meats were from local butcher shop in business 75 years. No complaints here, and would definitely stay again and for longer. Good value.

This is a very nice small hotel in the city center. Just a few minutes walk to the Friederichsbad. Good breakfast with homemade touches. The immaculate 3rd floor room was a little warm - a fan was required in the heat of summer. I would stay here again.

From the very first-time a warm welcome. An excellent stay in a small interesting hotel. Clean rooms, comfort beds and excellent view. Breakfast included with some homemade goodies. Great location, in the heart of the beautiful Baden Baden, great owners!

The hotel where I was originally booked, Roomers Baden-Baden, notified me at the last minute that they were not going to honor the last night of our reservation. I had booked it three months earlier, so was left scrambling to find another accommodation for the full 3-night stay.

I booked one of the grand hotels further from the city center, then the Hotel am Markt popped up with availability. They must have had a cancellation and I felt so lucky to be able to book this charming hotel.

As others have stated, it is a bit of a hike uphill, but we had no problem even when rolling our suitcases. We were warmly greeted and taken to our bright, spacious & comfortable room overlooking the square.

There was a double bed, couch for relaxing and a large workspace. Plenty of outlets were provided for all our electronics and the free WiFi worked well. The bathroom had two separate sinks, which was great, and a combo tub/shower.

A room with a stocked refrigerator, games, tables and seating gives guests some extra space to gather and relax, and there is a small terrace out front if you want to read or enjoy a glass of wine outside. The breakfast room was cheerful and they provided a lovely buffet that is included in the room rate.

The staff couldn’t have been nicer or more accommodating. They made dinner reservations for us every night and we always had good tables and good service. It was quite hot while we were there and we asked the second day if they might have a fan. In no time one appeared in our room.

We liked being in the center of town. We easily walked everywhere and hopped the bus to the train station from the stop near the bottom of the hill. We loved our stay in Baden-Baden and the Hotel am Markt, would happily recommend to others and hope to return some day.

We booked this hotel for 2 nights after reading the reviews. We were not disapointed. It is a small hotel located on a hill overlooking the town center. If you are arriving in Baden Baden by bus be warned that if you have any mobility problems it might be better to get a taxi up to the hotel. Otherwise you can slowly climb the steps.
The hotel is small and the rooms are comfortable with, in our case , a view of the town. The breakfast was a very good buffet with plenty of choice. The hotel is run by two pleasant and very helpful ladies. Baden Baden is not a cheap destination but I consider this value for money. We would return, which for me is always the real test.
A small comfortable hotel which is ideal for a few days stay.
