This cute little hotel is at the top of a steep cobblestone narrow street. We found our room charming with a sitting area, lots of windows. It is walking distance to everything around Baden-Baden. The church bells chime up until 10PM. For us, it was not a problem. The 2 spas are a quick walk away. There is free Wi-Fi, a sitting room with a computer to use as well as a frig with beverages to purchase on the honor system. They offer towels for the spa. The breakfast was delicious with fresh meats, cheeses and soft eggs. We enjoyed everything about this hotel. The hospitality was wonderful! And we were fortunate to have a place to park for a nominal fee. They have 5 parking spaces that they don't reserve. They sell tickets to both spas. We really enjoyed our stay here in every aspect and highly recommend this as a great place to stay in Baden-Baden.

Just checked in after one night at the Dorint for 400 euros, and it feels good to have basically the same bed for 80% less! It's not a five star hotel, but if you're looking for a clean safe place with a friendly staff in an excellent location, this is the place!

The hotel is very well placed, two minutes from main streets and the spa. We had a room overlooking the church and was kein problem for us. Good breakfast and rooms good. Very good value for money.
We went up the cable car and walked back down through the woods, had a massage and swim at the spa and walked around the town. Super weekend.

The location of the hotel is very convenient, located within easy walking distance of the main shopping strip, restaurants and Friedrichsbad. It is, however, located up some steep steps so if you are walking to the hotel with luggage, be prepared.
My husband and I found the service to be average. We received a pretty bland welcome, with no help offered to find a place to eat dinner, any of the local attractions or services within the hotel (eg breakfast times or wi-fi).
The room itself looked pretty good when we first arrived - modern furniture and bathroom, decent size and clean. We then discovered the church bells (they are very loud and ring every 15mins between 6am and 10pm!), which was quite annoying and made it difficult to get decent rest.
The bathroom had a bath/shower combo, but I think they may have installed it back-to-front...the shallow sloped end of the bath was underneath the shower head, which made it very difficult to shower without slipping.
The breakfast was nice, quite a good variety of foods and some homemade jams and juices were on offer.
The free wi-fi relies on guests creating an account with MaxSpot, and you can only access the wi-fi from 2 communal lounge areas. You can't access it from your room, which was a bit inconvenient. There is one desktop PC set up, but there can be fierce competition for this at times.
If we return to Baden-Baden, we will be looking for a quieter hotel next time.

The location--a major criterion for us--was ideal: within comfortable walking distance of the Caracalla baths and the Old Town center.

The room was clean and adequate in size, as was the bathroom.

The church right next door might be a problem for some, but was a non-issue for us: the bells stop at 2200 and don't begin until 0615. I suppose it might be an irritant in the summer with windows open, but didn't bother us in mid-October.

The breakfast was good and enough to keep you going til lunch.

Also there is an elevator, but you have to climb 12 steps to reach it. Go figure.

A possible difficulty for some was its hill-top location, but we're not talking Alpine here.

One of the two women who ran the place was a bit aloof but the warmth of the other rather balanced things out nicely.

Room Tip: Ear plugs (I recommend Hearoes.) might be a good idea for light or late sleepers, especially in the...

That was excellent place to sleep and spend one night. Very good location, athmosphere, cleanliness, breakfast, friendly staff etc. It's really worth money. Everything was near. I recommend! You can park your car well there too.

Even with a sat-nav, we failed spectacularly to reach the hotel by car. You have to drive through pedestrian streets to get there, which just doesn't seem right, but even though I understand and support the concept of "shared space" in urban design terms, the narrow streets here push that to the limit.

However, that's the hotel's fault, although a discount at one of the town's underground car parks would be welcome

The hotel, itself was very good. Clean. Comfortable room, good bathroom. The chimes from the Rathaus next door DON'T go on all night...

No in house restaurant, but terrific local offers mean that isn't an issue.
