We booked 2 family rooms for an overnight stop traveling from Spain to U.K. Rooms were on separate floors. In the room the children's beds were in an annexe near the door so not suitable for children in my opinion. Main bedroom was cramped. Bathroom smelt of the drains and the toilet didn't flush properly

This is a classic ibis with smallish but modern rooms and bathroom , big tv. Very friendly and helpful reception staff recommended a river walk and walking route into town - easy along one road takes about 20 minutes. Outdoor restaurant attached was popular . Only issue was no air conditioner- there is an old system but it wasn't working. Lots of traffic noise but soundproofing excellent if you shut the window - a bit hot in heatwave but bearable . Free parking at hotel . Close to petrol stations and supermarkets .

We were travelling from the South of France to Calais and chose this hotel to break our journey. We were towing a very large caravan and were worried about parking it, but we needn't have worried. The staff were very helpful, found a suitable parking space right in front of the exit which made it very easy to get out in the morning.
The room was a little small but very clean and had all we needed. There was even a charging point for our phones which was a nice touch.
The hotel has a restaurant with an outdoor section. The food was excellent-we loved the Entrecote steaks and the local Beaujolais!
All in all a great place to stay and very close to the motorway.

Room Tip: Surroundings are not noisy so any room will do

What should you expect from an Ibis Hotel - in fairness, they are a budget chain that usually provide clean rooms, sparse and functional.
This hotel appeared to be freshly renovated and very clean. The rooms were excellent - our twin beds were tight together, not always everyone's cup of tea - but we were able to move them apart to give some comfort - and under the beds was spotlessly clean!

It was sparse(ish) but what do you expect for 60EUR per night? The beds were comfortable and my kids thought it was the best wifi of the holiday - they were able to download films (with a VPN) and stream youtube quite happily!

I was very impressed with this hotel - something that doesn't happen often. It was a great price and great value - the breakfast was just 6EUR each and also offered excellent value.

Considering this is near a busy motorway we couldn't hear it at all so the sound proofing was good. There is air conditioning in the rooms, although it took a little time to cool the room down.

The staff in the hotel were excellent, very friendly and spoke excellent English.

Well done Ibis!
