Stayed there the first week of Jan (arrived on the 2nd). Given the very high prices (1000 euro a night, high season) you would expect phenomenal amenities and exceptional service but the experience started OK and ended very poorly.
Arrival was great, welcoming crew cheerful etc ... we arrived during the weekend, but came monday and the service level collapsed, looked like the hotel was dramatically understaffed, impossible to get anything, nobody at the reception to pick up the phone, they would refuse to give us food after 2.30 pm, I asked whether they could bring room service food to the bar at 3 pm THEY REFUSED to feed us, although my girlfriend had to skip normal lunch hours every day because of thyroid drug regimen + jet lag, although they would bring it to the room (but as we were checking out we had no room , therefore no food :( the hot tub in the spa was tepid and they insisted that it was the way it was supposed to be. Their "gastro" restaurant was mediocre, the cheesy singer at the bar was in action every night ... The room was OK , but nothing like an Aman resort, nice bathrooms but that's about it.
I am French so no cultural misunderstanding here, the management just seem incompetent or they have no budget to operate or both.
The ski shop attached to the hotel is very expensive but the service is good.
