“Comfortable, cosy & great value”
Reviewed January 27, 2014 via mobile

Another great stay in a warm and cosy home-from-home with charming staff for whom nothing is too much trouble - lift passes, cups of tea, early breakfasts. Dinners feature local produce including great cheeses. Already planning to return!

We stayed here for 4 nights in mid April for a late season ski trip. Had a suite room for 3 of us which was a twin room plus an connecting room with a further single bed. Could easily accommodate a 4th and would be ideal for families.
Room was very comfortable and clean and the location is excellent - just a few minutes walk up to the lifts or into the centre.
As mentioned, breakfast is not the best but is the usual buffet style with bread, ham cheese etc plus cereals and hard boiled eggs. Good coffee.
There is parking opposite and the staff are great - very helpful on our check out day too as we could leave bags and have a full days ski as well as access to shower and changing facilities before heading to airport.

+ The single rooms are very small but cozy! Mine was decorated with real wood. The location is very convenient - in the very center of the village. ~300 meters from the ski lifts infrastructure. ~20 meters from the bus station and a rouge bus stop. There is a small sauna in the hotel and wi-fi could be used in the rooms.

- Breakfast could be better. Almost all TV channels are in French!

Room Tip: The rooms with windows to the wild slope are very quiet

I stayed at this hotel for a late ski trip in April 2013. The hotel benefits from a car park and is located within an easy walk to the ski lifts. My room was very comfortable, clean, well appointed and the shower was great. Staff were friendly and willing to look after the guests. The only criticism is about the breakfast which could have been much better. This would not put me off the hotel and I would stay again but maybe get breakfast on the slopes.

We booked this hotel based on the trip advisor reviews but our experience was completely different. The food served in this hotel is incredibly bad. The breakfast consisted of cold tea or coffee (mainly due to the fact that the only water available was in a flask) Tiny croissants that more often than not had ran out and you had to ask for, hard bread roll and cold boiled eggs that were so over cooked that most of the egg pealed away with the shell, and parma ham with cheese.although one two occasions last week there was no ham Dinner was no better, cauliflower soup/ bean soup / turnip soup to start with (could you find a worse choice) followed by coldish meat with coldish pasta. All this served by staff who were so miserable that I can only assume that they were forced to eat the food as part of their contract.
The rooms are small but clean and this hotel is in a great spot but, if you expect to eat during your stay allow plenty of extra cash for a big lunch or better still stay elsewhere.

Room Tip: apparrently some rooms have curtains instead of bathroom doors so make sure you don't get one of...

My wife and I stayed there from Dec 29, 11 to Jan 4, 12, total 6 nighs. Overall comment is that it is good value for money. Location is great, only 5mins walk to major ski lifts. You can actually ski back to hotel entrance. The half board deal is great, with different 5 courses menu every night. The new year eve dinner was a special menu and particularly great. The waiter/waitress are very frendly and nice. The only area of improvement we see is that there is no shower curtain in our bathroom. This hotel has no lift but it is not a problem at all. My wife is a first time skier, physically not very strong, skied with me for 6 days but no complain at all and enjoyed this hotel very much. WiFi is available at lobby only. Since this is a family run 3 stars hotel, you better arrange your arrival no later than 22:30 to ensure someone can help you to address your needs.

Room Tip: Ask for bigger room size (certainly this comes with higher price). My room was 22m2 with door separ...

The rooms were extremely clean, the cleaners came in everyday and did an incredible job. The woodwork in the rooms was all new, brand new tvs, the most comfortable beds, and lovely and warm (we were there Feb 2012, winter). The decor is homely and not brand new, but I liked that it did not feel clinical. The staff were extremely friendly and the seating area was fantastic, like a large living area with fireplace, lovely views and great quiet place to relax and use the internet. The food in the restaurant for dinner was delicious, a private chef, and breakfast was adequate, a selection of toast, rolls, cheese, meats, eggs and cereals. You will feel so at home here, and I highly recommend for a getaway (we went on skiing trip - all relevant rooms for storing skis are available).

Room Tip: Wi-fi works in the common areas, but not in all of the rooms
