“Good quality challet at a great price from a superb team”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 22, 2010

Book a last minute short stay in Val. Due to thier model Hundred Hills are the most flexible chalet I have stayed at. I found Ben (owner) a pleasure to deal with prior to booking and everything went according to plan on arrival (transfer, ski hire, passes etc) Chalet is great and as a solo passenger I was greated very well by staff and other guests, which was great. I had to travel back during the volcanic ash cloud and Ben went over and above what was expected to ensure that I got back to the UK, including booking a hire car for me and being available on the phone late at night to help with my journey back. This is a new business but all the team have many years of experience, which shows. Location is good (ski in-ski out or free bus every 10 mins) If I go back to Val or Tignes (new challet), Hundred Hills will be the first company I shall ring in the future.
Paul

Our group has been doing a yearly trip (10 lads) for the last 5 years now and this was by far the most organized, thanks to Ben and his team. Val has long been waiting for a short stay provider like Hundred Hills and we will certainly be back.

Great value for money, having stayed in hotels, self-catered and your traditional catered chalets in Val, the Hundred Hills team through their dedication to quality and service provided us with the best "bang for our buck"

The rooms were all comfortable, warm and cosy with loads of hot water throughout the day, the lounge area and open fire lends well to either a subdued evening in after a long day out or an all-encompassing poker tournament.

Location wise its pretty good ski in / ski out, better at ski in than ski out, boarders had to walk around 30 metres to get going. There is also a bus that runs frequently to and from the main town.

Food and cleanliness, the quality of the food was always great with good size portions, thanks Lydia!, loved the scrambled eggs! There is nothing better than returning in the evening to a clean and tidy chalet with fresh cake waiting for you.

Overall Ben and the team have established great partnerships with the transfer company and ski hire shop which in turn leads to the excellent service not stopping in the chalet.

We stayed at Hundred Hills for a long weekend in December. We were a little apprehensive when we booked as it was the chalet's first season but it fully exceeded our expectations.

The chalet itself is lovely. It accommodates 10 people in total over two floors. The lounge on the ground floor is really cosy with comfy sofas to relax on before dinner or after a day out whilst enjoying afternoon tea and homemade cakes. We stayed in Room 3 which was quite small but really nice and cosy with enough storage for all our things. The room is done out to a high standard with a comfortable double bed and lovely mountain views. The ensuite shower provided us with plenty of hot water all throughout the day and was nice and powerful. We had a separate toilet just outside the room.

Breakfast of warm croissants, bread, boiled eggs, yoghurts, fruit and cereal was served at around 8 each morning. Homemade cakes were provided every day after a day out on the slopes which was a fantastic treat. A three course meal was served at around 7.30pm every night - the food was great with big portions and free wine which was made by the chalet host Lydia (who was lovely).

The chalet is located about 10-15 minutes walk from the town centre and main chairlift but there's also a regular free shuttle bus which will take you there. There is a piste a couple of minutes walk away but we didn't pluck up the courage to use it as we were told that it was a difficult red run (although noted as blue on the piste map). The chalet is an uphill walk from the town centre which was very tiring after a night out in the cold.

Overall we had great four days at Hundred Hills and would fully recommend it. Ben and Megan, the chalet operators, were very accommodating and helped organise our lift passes and transfers. The chalet was gorgeous and we would definitely stay there again.

Had a fantastic trip from start to finish. Great organisation from company to pick up from airport, get ski gear and then taken to fantastic chalet within close walking distance from Val D'Isere. Travelled with 7 mates of the not so quiet nature and we were kept fully occupied, entertained, fed and wonderfully looked after by the fantastic host Lydia (aided by her close friend Holly).

Great fun atmosphere and really attentive approach by staff, also reflected by Ben the comp owner.

Would highly recommend to anyone, in fact could still be there if I could!

Have stayed in a number of chalets in Val and this rates really highly.Had the benefit of the chalet to ourselveves and I`m sure this made a difference(would have been very cosy if completely full).

First year for this company and they are doing a really good job.Location is great-ski in ski out and an easy free bus service to the main town.Accomodation is very good and Lydia our chalet hostess was exceptional. They have their own dedicated website and all contact was very efficient.A much better individual experience which in my opinion compares really favouably with a lot of the bigger operators in the area.

Rooms vary,so be careful when choosing-we had room 5 which was fully ensuite and spacious-other rooms were cheaper, but worth the extra for this one.All arrangements were taken care of(ski passes, equipment etc)-Ben and his team were very professional and accomodating.

Highly recommend Hundredhills and will hopefully be back defore the end of the season.
