We had be traveling for 10 days already. To arrive at a wonderful peaceful hotel above the city was special. We spent an afternoon by the pool over looking the city. Breakfast on the veranda is the perfect was to start your day in Lyon

Dear Guest,
Thank you for this wonderful review of your stay at Villa Florentine, in Lyon.

It is a real pleasure to know that we were instrumental in making your stay in Lyon so memorable with the panoramic views from our pool, our quiet location which is nevertheless within walking distance of the city and of course our terrace to start your day off in the best way possible.

We look forward to welcoming you back again on your next trip to Lyon.
Kind regards,

Emmanuel LALLEMAND, General Manager

I’ve only been here for 1 hour and I already want to run away.
Room not ready at 14:00. No place to eat anything, no wifi in the room, ... an absolute jewel.

Can’t wait to see what the night will bring.

Dear Guest,
Thank you for taking the time to leave feedback.

I would like, however, to make some clarifications.
All check in are guaranteed for 3 PM as it is clearly notified on each booking confirmation.

I am more than surprised by your comment regarding our catering options. Indeed our gourmet restaurant was not fully book at your arrival, it was very easy to welcome you, even at 2 PM.
You could have also enjoyed our Room service menu in your room or at the bar or our snack menu at the swimming pool terrace,
so it was very easy to find suitable options in our hotel during your stay.

Because of the typicality and the structure of our establishment (former convent from the 18th century) if a wifi problem is found, please do not hesitate to inform our team and we will put an additional wifi terminal at your disposal.

Kind regards,

Emmanuel LALLEMAND, General Manager

The situation of this hotel is nothing short of spectacular - wonderful views across Lyon and on a clear day you can see the Alps and Mont Blanc. There is a lovely pool area where you can have a drink/afternoon tea - stunning views from there. The rooms are comfy - though a little dated and "brown" decor. Bathrooms well equipped. Staff are charming and resolved some issues I brought to them immediately (lack of wifi in room - they provided our own modem; only one bar of soap - 4 appeared immediately; no hot water - sorted immediately) so can't be faulted. Good breakfast - lots of choice. A bit odd that the bar in the reception area doesn't appear to be operational. Funny layout with different lifts and stairs to different areas - easy to get lost! All small niggles though - staff made up for all that. We were provided with taxis, dinner reservations etc. very helpfully - and the view made up for the decor.

Staff and service were impeccable. Really the best. Location is great. Food was delicious, too, including breakfast.
Rooms could use a 21st century update, though. Seems like it was last refreshed in the ‘90s. Definitely was before i-everything because ubiquitous - needs a lot more plugs, etc.

Waking up with views like the ones Villa Florentine offers, is really out of this world.
It gets even better if you go for a swim or the hot tub in the morning and see how the city below you wakes up.

This is an absolutely wonderful hotel and there is nothing I can think of that could be improved.

Breakfast is wonderful with the famous Lyonnais praline brioche present as well, and some very tasteful juices and smoothies.

Staff is extremely helpful, serviceminded and friendly.
If I come back to Lyon I know where to stay....
