We came here for our 40th wedding anniversary . From the welcome fruit juice and macaroons on the balcony when we arrived to our departure when our luggage was taken straight from our room to the taxi, we felt thoroughly pampered, We had one swim in the rooftop pool whiuch we enjoyed. The breakfasts were delicious and we enjoyed watching the sparrows, which sadly we know longer see in London. We also use the gym and the computers,
The only down side was that we had come by TGV and taxi and didnt have a car so to get into the town we had to go down 200 steps , but this was good exercise, but wouldnt suit anybody with knee problems.
We didnt eat the gourmet dinner either as it was quite expensive and Lyons itself has a huge choice of excellent restaurants, but we spoke to some fellow guests who hadhad it and enjoyed it,.

Stayed one night last night and this is a really interesting hotel - listed building full of character. Welcome was one of the best I have had and hotel manager even came outside to see me off.

Junior Suite (room 14) and was huge- really nice room and interesting layout given the shape of the building. Perhaps could do with a new shower head in the bath but bed comfortable and nice high quality linen/towels.

Did not eat in restaurant but room service dinner and breakfast were excellent.

Staff seems genuinely proud of the hotel and it adds to the experience. Would not hesitate to come back and indeed the view from the jacuzzi on the outside terrace is spectacular. Make sure you take someone special to join you!

I stopped at Villa Florentine during a business trip through Switzerland/South of France

The hotel is fantastic: clean and cozy
Staff is amazing (and gave us a room with an extraordinary view)
Warmed & panoramic Jacuzzi makes it special also during winter time
