We needed this place for a night while on the road in France, and it got the job done. I get spoiled with the amount of nice business hotels in the U.S., and this seems overpriced with a lot less amenities. Parking was extra, as well. It was older. This chain has some newer hotels that are a lot nicer.

We stayed because of the hotel's location close to the train station. The staff was friendly and the room was clean. It was a bit of a walk to a lot of the major tourist sites in the city. But, on the other hand, we were not paying the same price that you would pay if you were closer to the sites. We had an inside room, which saved us from hearing the trains go by. However, it did not stop us from hearing noise from the breakfast patrons, as the window overlooked the restaurant area. Our major issue with the room was the air conditioning, which did not respond to any manipulation of the temperature. The temperature was bearable, but not exactly comfortable.

. My room was less than 50m from the busy Lyon train station, so could not open the windows. The other side was facing a very busy avenue....
. Bathroom, furniture is shabby, paint was run down, equivalent to an old 2* hotel.
. Few TV channels (but one from Saudi Arabia!!)
. Area where hotel is located has no charm, big modern buildings, lifeless.
. No wifi; cord was less than 1m long, therefore you're stuck at the table to use internet.
. One of the worst quality-price ratios I've seen.

My wife and I stayed for four nights at this hotel/apartment type of establishment. It was reasonably close to the main SNCF station at Part Dieu and the car hire providers Avis, Europcar and Hertz.

Ok it was not in the main thrust of Lyon in relation to the more interesting sights, but these were never more than a few stops on the subway. Other reviewers have complaIned about the location but for us this was not a problem. The room allocated to us was at the side of the building so was a bit dark during the day. There was a network internet facility and a cable was supplied free of charge and gave us the opportunity to listen to radio programmes live from the UK or listen to BBc iPod files. You can get sick of BBC World.

I have noticed that some reviewers have complained of not being able to access the kitchen cupboard in the apartments. Well, ever tried asking for the key at reception??

In our package breakfast was included and a buffet style lay out included sufficient for all tastes. Charcuterie, cheeses, boiled eggs (cold), scrambled eggs (luke warm) and breakfast cereals. Coffee, tea, hot and cold milk for cereals.

There was parking at 13 Euros a night. There was underground parking or an open lot at the back. It appeared that the hotel rented out the undercover parking to a local company as it was always full of vans and it meant parking around the back. However, it was gated at the entrance to the car park.

As far as driving in Lyon is concerned, it is a nightmare with a plethora of one way streets and what would seem the simplest of journeys on a map would become a major hike. However, after a day or two it was OK. Driving to other cities on the major highways was expensive with a return trip to Clermont Ferrand costing 20.80 Euros. Much better to work out the other routes across country; more enjoyable and possible more scenic.

I would stay here again.

This hotel is purely a business hotel and is not designed for the traveller at all. Located well outside the city centre it is a 30 minute walk into town. The room was small and cramped but has a kitchenette. The beds are the worst in France - chiropratic work will be required after a night in them. The hotel design is seriously flawed with rooms built in a square around a central area that is the dining/bar area. The noise of the diners (even when they are not talking loudly) reverberates around the entire hotel making sleep impossible.

We stayed here on a Trafalgar Tour. The hotel is very nice, with the rooms very large and well appointed (they are like apartments). The downside is that is backs onto train tracks (and you can hear / feel it) and it is a fair way from Lyon centre. Nice pool area also. I would stay somewhere closer though.
