If you're travelling for leisure, this hotel has a great location right in the old town, close to the restaurants and bars. It easily reached by the C3 trolleybus from Part Dieu station, and the directions the hotel sent us were easy to follow. Reception was friendly and helpful. Our room was right at the back of the hotel. This meant it was quiet, but the window looked out onto a very narrow courtyard which meant there was next to no natural light. The furniture and decor were adequate for a budget hotel, but looking past their best. The bathroom was not in the best condition, although the shower had a strong flow of hot water. The toilet had a small window which would not close properly. This was not a problem for us, but I can imagine it might be if you stay during the winter. The breakfast was a basket of bread with one croissant each and a selection of jams, plus orange juice and coffee. I like this sort of thing, but others might find it a bit boring. The breakfast room is very small and we had to wait for a table the first morning. All in all, it has a great location but is a little tired inside and not the best value for money.
