For something a little bit special, not cheap but you get what you pay for. Unlike some places portion sizes are very robust and if you like speciality steak cuts this has to be one of the best in town. Very friendly staff speak a little English and bend over backwards to ensure you get what you want. Ambience is good, didn't book ahead, excellent night. A number of different set menus or choose a la carter. Wine good value but not cheap!

I came here invited by colleagues from the the nearby ENS. I had a great steak, with a fresh leafy salad accompanying it. The place was full of white collar workers on their lunch break. The restaurants has lots of mirrors with a classical bistro ambiance.

There are not that many nice restaurants near the Novotel in Lyon Gerland. This place is at walking distance and it was not bad at all.
I took a standard menu with a choise of 4 starters, 5 main courses and a desert. The pate as a starter was very good with nice fresh bread, a marmalade and very crispy salad. The 'medium rare' steak I ordered for main course was served 'well done'. Although it still tasted well, it was not what I ordered. Salad was OK and the French fries could have been a bit more crispy. The creme brulee was very good. If it is true that you can grade a restaurant based on the quality of the creme brulee, then this is a top restaurant. I took the red house wine, but I do not understand why this is served as cold as white wine. It happens more often and the wine looses its taste.
The place was nice and the service prompt and friendly. Just a few things to improve.
