“No service”
Reviewed August 13, 2014

At first glance this looked like a nice little japanese restaurant. It turned out to be a huge disappoinment. We sat at some bar stools near the entrance, overlooking the kitchen (or the 40 sq ft that should go as kitchen) This was not a good idea. Seeing the sweaty amateur cook trying to get everything out in a way too small and dirty kitchen already made us lose much of our appetite.

After half an hour we were finally able to place our orders. We wanted to order "edamame", but the waiter told us it would take very long to prepare. We told her we didn't mind the wait and after some hesitating and mumbling she suddenly told us we couldn't order it.
All ramen they serve is made from a meat-based broth. One person from our party is vegetarian, so she wanted to order a vegetarian dish. After going through quite some options on their menu, it turned out they only wanted to serve ramen, and made it clear in a very rude manner.
If you only have one poor cook and no decent kitchen and you only want to serve one dish, don't put the rest on the menu!!!

“Best noodles in town”
Reviewed April 27, 2014

The best noodles ever -we returned again the following day. Very busy with customers on both occasions we visited but there wasn't an extended wait for our food. Tasted very fresh and was just the right amount for lunch. U are given chop sticks on the table (which is fine for us) however the people on the table next to us asked for cutlery and there was no negative attitude/look from the waitress which impressed me greatly. Had I been allowed, we'd have returned to try it out for dinner!

“Finally REAL japanese food!”
Reviewed September 4, 2013

After actually eating real japanese food I am always so disppointed in France that the japanese cuisine is not real authentic tasting. But thankfully this restaurant provides real japanese food - the type of food japenese people eat on a daily basis. The price is good in relation to the quantity! Love the teriyaki and the tori don!

“Good restaurant, but definitely not Japanese.”
Reviewed July 9, 2013

This strange restaurant is located near Lyon's Opera.
The ambient is quite strange because it looks like it want to imitate lamely the Japanese inns or Japanese restaurants.
If the ambient seems pretty fake, the inner part of the restaurant and the waiters look that even more.
I guess they are Korean or Asian but they do not look like Japanese to me.
The meals are based on soups/ramen and few other dishes.
I have to stress the presence of meat in almost all the dishes, so it's not properly suited to vegan, vegetarian or a person who doesn't eat meat.
We ordered a soup with seaweeds and meat, ebi yakisoba, Yakiniku don (cooked rice with meat), edamame.
The edamame was awful, like I imagined, but all the other dishes were light but tasty, and we appreciated also the soup.
The amount of food in every dish is huge, so don't do not be so hasty to order too much food at once.
The price is pretty cheap, the service is fast and kind.
I cannot suggest this like a good Japanese restaurant but you can surely come for a quick asian meal, moreover if you like ramen.
