“A great introduction to Lyon”
Reviewed September 28, 2013 via mobile

We spent only one day in Lyon so this was a great way to get oriented. We took the 3.30 boat which went around the confluence. It ia advertised to be a 70 min trip but we were away till 4.50 so be careful to leave time if you need to. The trip at 3.30 is a little shorter. We sat upstairs and the audio was in French and English and was very informative and easy to hear. We heard a little of the history of Lyon and you can take super photos. For 10 euros this was great value.

“Good way to see the new Confluence area.”
Reviewed August 4, 2013

This 1hr 10min cruise for €10, tickets purchased on Pont Bonaparte, travelled down the Saone then up the Rhone rivers. Commentary is in French & English, seating open up top, or enclosed down below. Interesting sights that you would not generally see unless you are on the water, also the new Confluence area, new housing, shopping, out there buildings some under construction. We took the 2pm cruise with best idea to buy tickets first( ticket office open by 10. 30am ) have lunch or walk around shops or both , then go aboard 10mins before departure. It's good value.

“Messing about on the river (Rhone, that is )”
Reviewed August 1, 2013

My wife and I visited Lyon a few years ago for her son's wedding to a French girl from the city.
We stayed with her French son's in-laws who lived there.
We were there for a long weekend and they took us around Lyon and also on a boat trip down the river Rhone.
Such a beautiful city.
A definite must for people who love France.

“A different way to see the city”
Reviewed May 25, 2013

We did this cruise on the Saône as part of our Lyon City pass. You get to it by tram to Suchet - much easier than walking from St Paul as we did. There was a bit of messing around to start - not enough gangways which are shared between boats - but then off you go, past some interesting new buildings which are bright orange and green, to the confluence of the Saône and Rhone rivers, past the Musee de Confluence under construction (looks like the Starship Enterprise) and the up the other side of the Presqu'île which is the Rhone river. There is an informative commentary and many beautiful buildings to see, plus a very interesting ceramic sculpture of flowers. The cruise takes about an hour and a half - well worth it.

“Lovely boat trip over Saone River to Ile Barbe”
Reviewed September 18, 2012

On a nice and sunny day, late afternoon, we took the boat trip around Ile barbe, which gave us the opportunity to see something more of the city, besides the old city centre and get some explanation at the same time.

We enjoyed the information we received live, through the intercom, sitting on the upper deck, in the sun, getting some info about the city's history, the architecture and of course the island, the basilique, the cathedrale... it was relaxing and we were happy to get on the boat at the last moment, making use of our Lyon City card!
The boat is clean, looks safe and the staff is polite.
