This was a great find for a relaxed evening meal with colleagues. We wanted something local and were recommended Le Sathonay.

The family run restaurant is a real hidden gem. Totally unpretentious, with a friendly, relaxed and charming atmosphere. The service was excellent and the food is wonderful. The menu is not huge but concentrates on local Lyonnaise cuisine and was great value with a good selection of reasonably priced wines to accompany the food.

Can highly recommend the croustillant de boudin noir, the quenelle and the ravioli.

The service from the owner and his wife was excellent.

The location is also convenient and the Place de Sathonay offers a few other bars and cafes for drinks outside on the terrace.

A really nice experience.

Came here on the recommendation of our hotel. Turned out to be on of the best meals I have had for a while.

The husband runs the front of the restaurant and his wife cooks her grandmothers recipes in the kitchen.

My wife and I had the terrine du maison which was excellent. My wife had the ham and cheese ravioli, and I had the quinelle (kin-el) which was light and very flavorful.

Highly recommended!

Restaurant fully deserves it's place on the official bouchon list. It's only a few minutes walk from the opera but maintains its old style charm.food and wine were very good and the price very reasonable given the size and quality.
