We booked this hotel since we got a good price on hotels.com
The location is quite near the train station, in an interesting neighborhood with many shops an restaurants (note that many restaurants are closed on Sunday nights). This location is a but away from many of the tourist sites in Lyon such as the city center and the Roman ruins; however these are easiiy accessible by a very efficient metro system.
The rooms are small but well organized. Although our room faced the street it was fairly quiet due to double-glazed windows.
What impressed me most was the helpfulness of the staff. They all went out of their way to be as helpful as possible, both to us and to the other guests.
Other pluses were a free internet which worked well. It was a bit slow but the speed could be increased at a modest cost. There was also a very good breakfast bar (at an extra cost to us) consisting of fresh breads and croissants as well as a selection of cheeses. An "express" continental breakfast at lower cost was also available.
Overall, this is a nice place to stay in Lyon, especially if you are on a budget and don't mind taking public transportation to the city center.More
