Me and my wife entered this wine shop just asking if they had one wine we know.
Very kindly, the owner Christophe, answered he had not that wine but that he could let us taste something special, if we liked.
We accepted the invitation. This shop also offers the chance to eat something and we ordered two plates of vegetables cake (quiche) served with a freshly made salad.
In the end, after a very tasteful meal, we also spent some time talking to Mr, Christophe who also suggested us some places to go for dinner in the days after and we bought two cartons of the special wines we had tasted. So, wether it is for buyng wine, for the good food or for the friendly and helping care of the owner, we sincerely recommend to visit La Bouteillerie to make your stay in Lyon even better.

Having been here once before and been very impressed this visit was a bit disappointing. Despite the drop in temperature - this was back in mid-September - the proprietor basically insisted we sit outside on the terrace, which isn't especially agreeable anyway slap bang as it is to a main road. The glass of Vacqueyras blanc was a hefty and enjoyable mouthful but pretty much gulped down just so we could escape to the warmth of a nearby restaurant. I know that this proprietor knows his wines very well; let us leave it at that.

Some great wines and lovely cheeses and charcuterie. Nice and relaxed setting. Christophe (the owner) is very friendly and can give local advise for places to visit. Next time in Lyon we will visit La Bouteillerie!

Went there for a few glasses of wine. We had 5 glasses each- ranging from the light to the punch, coupled with a large plate of cheese, meats, terrines etc. Christophe, the owner, was very knowledgeable about wine, very friendly and chatty. It was very well-priced as well. Recommended!

This was a recommendation of our guide on a wine tour of the Rhine Valley. It was without a doubt our favourite place in Lyon! As soon as we walked in we were given a very warm welcome from Christophe who queried our wine preferences, if we wanted a bottle or a few different glasses, food etc. We settled on a few glasses and something to nibble on. The wine choices were spot on and he moved between the tables to chat and discuss the wine as well as enquiring about our holiday with suggestions for things to do. The platter he brought out was enormous and the tray almost filled the table with bread, meats, cheeses, terrines, salad, gespacho, pasta tart and figs!

We never saw any price list throughout and were expecting a bill around €100 - we were there for 3.5 hours and had 8 very high quality glasses of wine as well as the enourmous mixed platter. We could not believe it was only €68! When we paid he also brought over another complimentary couple of glasses of red from a bottle he had open.

A real class act.
