A good quality tourist/business hotel. The service is good, the property attractive, the pool and exercise room are a bonus. We slept well, it was clean, quiet and comfortable.
The food and drinks service needs improvement, and the breakfast is a rip-off with poor quality food at 20E per person. Coffee is from a vending machine of the type one expects in a 2 star hotel. This was the only downside. The location is not very central, geared more towards people who need close access to the business district, but it's a nice walk across the bridge to the shopping area.

Room Tip: Skip the breakfast

After leaving a terrible hotel in Lyon, we checked into an upgraded room at this Mercury.
Nice staff, beautiful facility.
Great breakfast buffet. Very spacious rooms, 24 hour bar/kitchen. Although in the vicinity of Part-Dieu train station, it was too far to walk with our luggage. Taxis were plentiful.

This is the best Mercure hotel I’ve ever stayed at.

I find the Mercure pretty average but decently priced and you get what you pay for.

This hotel is great, staff are friendly and helpful. The parking is not the best but they offer a valet parking service.

Room was clean, modern, and nicest Mercure room I’ve ever stayed in.

I frequently staff in this hotel and have always found it to be comfortable and quiet.
Built in a former multi-story car show room from the early 1900s, I believe, it is a lovely building with a large impressive reception area.

There is an open bar to one side of the reception. Drinks I find expensively over priced. There are numerous bars and cafes with a short walk from the hotel so I would recommend exploring the lovely area around the hotel.

One serious point to note.... thieves have operated in the reception area. A colleague had his briefcase stolen whilst he was distracted when checking in!

Not too far from city center and old part of the city. They have a valet parking which is a plus in french traffic culture. The breakfast was also clearly above average. Staff was very helpful though bit slow
