The hotel is in a restricted road part if Lyon with very well organised parking and excellent advice from concierge on sights to see. However because of the layout if the building rooms can be noisy from the sound of the restaurant. Our room also smelled of severe humidity issues. Whilst very charming decor and certainly rooms with elegance there is an air for aged facilities, and darkness. Come here for the atmosphere. We did not try the breakfast as the price of 27 euro seemed excessive. The charge of 50 euros a night to add a bed for a 3 year old also seemed over the top.

In the first place we'd like to thank you for your review.
We are happy that our concierge service met your expectations however we are sorry you did not enjoy your room.
We acknowledge that humidity is sometimes hard to manage in some rooms because of the old structure of the hotel yet we always try to resolve these kind of issues and your review sure helps us to keep improving ourselves.
We hope you will come back and try our breakfast which is known as one of the best in Lyon.

Cour des Loges is a beautiful step back to medieval times, however with all the modern conveniences. Upon arrival we were met by the efficient and welcoming staff who whisked us through check-in and led us to our room with easy access to a semi-private and mostly hidden garden.

Our superior room was quite spacious and comfortable complimented by a top of the line bathroom featuring a huge tub and separate shower area. Our only dissatisfaction was with the dim lighting in the bedroom. As is typical in many European accommodations the room and bedside lighting was inadequate for comfortable reading.

Breakfasts were sumptuous with many, many tasty choices. Also every day there was a different fresh juice combo such as a banana-orange smoothie with fresh herbs. This was in addition to other freshly squeezed juices.

The concierge service expertly led by Monsieur Gerard Ravet, who is a very kind and friendly man with over three decades of experience at Cour des Loges. The concierge staff was incredibly knowledgeable and intuitive. They were the best ever! Sincerest thanks to M. Ravet and his staff for making our stay and explorations extremely memorable and pleasant.

We definitely would go back to this exquisite fine hotel in a heartbeat.

Room Tip: Due to the location in the medieval section on a pedestrian only lane the whole are is very quiet at night. I did not visit other types of rooms but our superior room was quite comfortable.

We truly thank you for your warm review and Gerard will be thrilled to guide you again through the mysterious Lyon.
We are aware of the lack of light in some rooms that's why you should feel free to ask for extra light that we would provide you with great pleasure.
We look forward to seeing you very soon.

While probably the best hotel in Lyon for an old city vacation and certainly the best possible conceirge service, it is not possible for me to rate this hotel with fine hotels elsewhere or perhaps for it to to provide the best room features. We were given a nice room on the very top floor (attic sort of) however the bath was in an alcove near the bed and although there was a handheld shower head it was impossible to shower without getting water everywhere - unless maybe you are a young supple athlete! as there was no hook to hold it. The room had windows but still was a bit dark, too full of "antique" furnishings but no chest of drawers. We requested a change of room "with a shower" and because the hotel was not fully booked for the rest of our stay were provided with a room with a nice bath/shower and open doors to the upper garden. Overall they do the best they can with a building that is hundreds of years old built into the hillside. Once you tour this fantastic old city you will understand.
The location of the hotel was absolutely the best, easy walk to the metro, easy walk to the Rhone and the Soane and right in the midst of old town sites, galleries, bakeries and restaurants. It own Michelin Star rated restaurant was fabulous and the sommolier was especially interesting and his service invaluable. Breakfast was very good as well and the bar inviting. The Bistro was very accommodating to two weary but excited Americans who needed sustinance before our room was ready.
Taxis were easily arranged as well as guided walks around the old town. And we loved our three full days in Lyon!

Room Tip: Requesting a room with a shower in a bahroom most important unless you are into rooms that have the bathtub next to the bed!

It is always very helpful for us to have a feedback in order to offer our clients the best service we can. We are sorry for the shower issue but glad that you enjoyed the second room you have stayed in.
Our Chef Anthony only chooses very fresh and quality products because he wants to share his passion through the best and the tastiest food.
As you seem to like very good cooking, we will be happy to book you a table for our our Sunday brunch that you should definitely try.

We stayed here for the second time, first time was about 12 years go. Still very charming, good concierge, good valet service at checkout and excellent restaurant.
However the reception was very cold and unfriendly. It could had been nice to at least been offered some water at our arrival.
The hotel and rooms need to be updated, the shower head didn't stay up so it was hard to take a shower with one hand and the TV in the salon didn't work. This features in a 5 start hotel should have been checked.
The best part of the hotel was the restaurant, good breakfast and excellent dinner.
I will come back to the restaurant but not to the hotel.

Room Tip: If you stay at room 51, consider that you will have the shower and toilet in the ground floor but the sink and the bed in the mezzanine.

First of all, we want to thank for review. It is always very helpful for us to get a feedback from our clients as the whole team of Cour Des Loges aims to make our clients stay the best possible.
I am very surprised that the shower did not work perfectly as we just renovated all the bathrooms with brand new material. So make sure that we will do our best not to allow these kind of inconveniences happen again and this also holds up true for the television.
Despite these incidents, we are glad that you enjoyed the food and we truly hope that you will come back soon and enjoy your whole stay.
