“excellent”

Attentive waitstaff, attention to detail, delicious traditional Lyonnaise food as well as food options that the non-adventurous eater would enjoy. While I felt comfortable not in fancy attire, the waitstaff is very meticulously uniformed.

“Underwhelming”
Reviewed August 20, 2013

Although the brasserie was pleasant enough and the service was efficient, we were surprised by the lack of any real distinction in the menu. The starter (supposedly a Lyonnaise speciality) was particularly disappointing - basically, a slice of cold sausage in a brioche wrapping. We ate at Le Sud a couple of days later and found it far superior in all respects.

“Nordic quisine with a French touch”
Reviewed August 14, 2013

We arrived at lunchtime with a group of 20 people. We started with fresh nordic salmon with some herbs, followed by bacelau with mashed potatoes with herbs

Splendid

“Brasserie le Nord, Lyon, France”
Reviewed July 28, 2013

This is a beautiful restaurant let down by the attitude of the staff, who clearly feel superior to the customers, and the poor quality of the food.

The service was efficient but straight faced and unfriendly. We were not asked if our food was acceptable. This was a real surprise as it is a Paul Bocuse establishment and we had great expectations.

The food was not good value for money and appeared to be pre-prepared and reheated, although the menu promised that it would be freshly prepared and in some cases cooked at the table.

“reasonable experience”
Reviewed July 21, 2013

It was fine for a Paul Bucosse endorsed restaurant but nothing overwhelming about this place. The city is full of similar and possibly better restaurant. They will be cheaper as well.
