We were a group of four couples and this wine tour was perfect. We visited two wineries but they were both excellent in terms of information and wines and the welcome we received.
Our stop for lunch was for a set menu but the restaurant was very accommodating in letting couples share the three course meal and we enjoyed a complimentary glass of very good wine.
Julie went out of her way to make the whole day a wonderful experience and I am sorry that we made her late to get home to her family.

There were six of us traveling to Lyon for the Women's World Cup in July. We wanted to experience a wine tour in the region while we were there. I shopped for many different tours and had great difficulty finding one, I am sure due to the influx of people. I was finally able to book with Rhone Trip. It was supposed to be a group wine tour, but we were pleasantly surprised to learn it would just be the six of us. Laurent, our guide, was amazing! The wine tour was intimate, and we enjoyed learning about the winemakers, the territory, the grape varieties and how they are grown. Midday we stopped for a fabulous lunch at Vineum Paul Jaboulet Ainé - Tain l'Hermitage. As a bonus, Laurent even took us by Valrhona chocolatiers before heading back, where we sampled and shopped for exquisite chocolates. The entire day surpassed our expectations and we couldn't have asked for a better tour. Thank you, Laurent, for accommodating us and treating us like family!

Laurent and Julie made me feel at home on this trip! They were very friendly and welcoming. The tour was well thought out with the visit to a goats’ farm then a nice idyllic winery...truly recommending this activity for something to do and expanding your wine tasting experience!

the tour in a small van took 8 passengers to hilly beaujolais vineyards about 30-35 minutes outside of Lyon. . One stop for a view, another at a goat farm where we sampled three stages of goat cheese with white wine, and final stop a modern winery which gave us a tour and sampling of 6 or 8 tastes.Friendly group. The leader was bilingual and very knowledgeable. However, quite a bit of standing sampling the wine.

I had a wonderful time on the From Côte-Rôtie to Hermitage - 1 Day Wine Tour, and when I travel to Lyon again, I will make sure to take another tour of the valley. The tour started out with a drive to the southern end of the AOC and l'Hermitage. Typically at the top of the Hermitage hill, you'd be able to see an incredible view of the Rhone river, but we got to see something special. Since we visited in November and the morning after snow, we got to see the vineyards ensconced in white and a deep fog laying over the valley. An incredible sight. Our guide was so thoughtful and brought hot water for coffee and tea at the top of the hill!

Our guide was so knowledgeable and sweet, really made the tour worthwhile, and since I did the tour during the offseason, our group was very small (three including me). If you're thinking about taking a tour of the valley, just do it. It's worth it!

The tour was convivial with lovely and knowledgable guides. The areas we saw were nice.Just simply from the wine and cheese aspect it was underwhelming and not good value for the cost of the tour. This was alsothe opinion of a number of other tour guests i spoke with.
