Just across the road from Novotel, this is a fantastic place for BIG meals, good wine and good service which is very affordable. They have a substantial menu of seafood, grills, salads, pastas, huge entrees and a very big dessert menu!! The prices are very reasonable, especially for the size of the meal!! The steaks are HUGE as are the crabs and seafood dishes. This place was very busy with locals by 8:00pm which also shows it has a good name. They gave us an English menu too! All of the waiters also spoke English. If we were staying on longer we would certainly be going back, they offer great lunch menus too. Fantastic value and food that will leave you very full!!!

Walked the very short distance this evening from the hotel to the Brasserie du Palais. Had a very reasonably priced meal meal with wine for 3 for under €120. Entrees were massive !! and extremely well presented, Mains very also quite substantial, and very well presented, tastewise it was excellent, the staff were very good. and generally well worth a try I'd say.

Try the sea food platter for €23.00 you won't find a better meal for the value. Pity it sits by a road because it should be by the water.

Opposite the Novotel with many people dining alone this was a good place to be. Well lit with TV's showing news/football and a fast friendly service made me feel comfortable and welcome.
Nicely prepared food, especially the Magret du Canard. Wine by carafe was an excellent local(ish) St Joseph.
If you have to be in Grenoble on your own then seek this place out.
