“Now we are talking...”
Reviewed October 22, 2013

Stayed here for one night on our way to the French Riviera. This hotel has it all in our opinion. We were met by really friendly staff late in the evening. We first got one room, but when they saw all our luggage they upgraded us to a bigger one, thank you :) We emptied the car with great help, they took our car to a safe place and it was brought to us the next morning.

The room was big and wonderful. But lets talk about the bed :) Oh my, oh my. This is the best bed ever. I felt like a princess lying on it and slept like a baby all night. So soft, so white, so comfy, so cosy. Will never forget :)

We thought about having breakfast in our room, but were recommended to eat it in the breakfast area. Thank you for that recommendation. Best breakfast ever in any hotel ever visited! Don't skip it - have it! You will not regret, promise.

The hotel is so clean, so beautiful/trendy, nice colors. I would guess newly renovated. Smells clean. We simply loved it!

Had dinner in city center late evening. Great help again from friendly staff who made reservation for us at a great restaurant. Loved walking around in the dark after dinner to see some of Grenoble before going to bed and leaving early morning after breakfast.

Ever in Grenoble - chose this hotel! It's just tiptop (as we say in Norway). It will please you!

Check out, fast and friendly. Water to go. Perfect for us on our long drive to the Riviera.

Loved and recommend!

Jørn and Hilde

Room Tip: Upgraded, in front of the hotel. The other room was nice too, but small for all our luggage :)

We booked this hotel after consulting Tripadvisor, and we were delighted! The staff were very friendly and helpful (for example, we were offered bottles of water to take with us on our way home). The whole hotel was well-appointed, clean and had a very pleasing atmosphere. It was also wonderfully cool in our room with temperatures in the high 30s outside!
The breakfast was expensive but we found it well worth the money - it was delicious with a great variety of food for a small hotel - we had a late breakfast which was more of a brunch, and then we had a very small lunch (even after walking up to La Bastille).
The hotel is right in the heart of Grenoble, a delightful city and one that I'm sure we'll return to soon (this was our first visit to Grenoble).

My Husband and I recently stayed at the hotel just for a single night as we were then heading off to a local wedding. The hotel is central and will situated for walking access to the City.
the room we had was quite small but in a city centre hotel as one would expect. the fixtures and fittings were in good condition.
The rooms didn't have tea and coffee making facilities which we missed however there is a mini bar. The bed lined and bed comfort were great. the bathroom was very clean and modern however style of the sink was better aesthetically than it was functional. Breakfast was ok, nothing special but adequate it a little highly priced. The staff were very friendly and polite and very accommodating in our request for a late check out.

Room Tip: Go for a room with a balcony!

Came into town late on a long drive ... Always great to look for a top hotel ... They usually have rooms available. While you pay a bit more for these rooms, the quality is excellent. Parking was valet, and cars were ready out front for us in the morning. Excellent service. Very nice clean rooms. Extreme comfortable beds. The whole package very worthy of their four stars. Getting to the hotel was easy via GPS, just a pain with the turns due to the one way roads around town and construction.

It was a quick overnight stop but we would definitely go back. A friendly greeting from the reception staff got things off to a good start and the lobby, decor and room were in a modern and very different style to many French hotels we have used in the past. Great central location. Breakfast was also excellent. The only negative point was that our car was broken into and £1500 of items stolen but this was no fault of the hotel as it was parked on the street outside. A word of advice - use the hotel's private parking! The staff were very helpful with the aftermath of the theft.

Room Tip: As high a floor as possible to be away from city centre hustle and bustle.

I can't say enough nice things about this hotel from the warm welcome to the fond farewell. Fantastic location in Grenoble. When we arrived it was raining and the manager came out with an unbrella to help us with our luggage. There was ample street parking. Everyone spoke fluent English and were extremely friendly and accommodating. The front desk noted that it was our anniversary and upgraded us before we even had a chance to ask. The room was nicer than expected for what we paid. The room and bath had a balcony. The bathroom was huge. Tub bug enough for two. Super clean throughout. The bed and linens were plush. They sent up a bottle champagne for us to celebrate with. All the restaurants the staff arranged for us were stellar (I cook for a living so I'm a bit fastidious). The Nespresso shop next door was an added plus for us. Beyond that there was a Monoprix across the street, primo sushi a few doors and train station a block away. But without the usual train stration riffraff and tawdry surroundings. I didn't expect Grenoble to be so charming nor the hotel, so nice. The staff really makes this place a great stay. I felt extremely comfortable and pampered. I'd definitely go back.

Room Tip: Let them know if you are celebrating a milestone.

Wonderful hotel in the City Centre which is the heart of old Grenoble. Very nice rooms and excellent and personable staff. Breakfast was not included but was available with eggs made to order, French pastries, fresh meats and cheeses, fresh juices, yogurts and good coffee and expresso. It was within walking distance to so many things and close to the bus and tram service. Lots of shopping and outdoor cafe's!
