I just stayed one night in this very modern Hotel that is in the city center of Grenoble. In walking distance are a number of restaurants and cafes with outdoor seating. A public parking is 100m away.
The stay was a great experience. It started with Every staff member doing a very good job to deliver an amazing experience.
The beds are one of the most comfortable ones I have ever had, really nice. The breakfast is fantastic, too, including freshly squeezed orange juice, cold cuts, eggs to order, cheese, nespresso cafe, etc.
The hotel itself is classic from the outside and very modern and stylish in the inside. The rooms are a bit on the smaller side.
Good value for money!

Arriving there was a nice surprise, friendly staff, spacious room-junior suite- nicely decorated.
Fairly priced, in the center of the city, walking distance to all interesting spots and restaurants.
The hotel provides valet parking , very important issue, as you arrive in the center of Grenoble with all your luggage in your car.
Breakfast is very good, in a small but very friendly breakfast area!

Located in the center of Grenoble, in an old building, you can discover a very modern and clean hotel. Our room (junior suit) was large enough and decorated in a minimally modern way. The reception team was very friendly. They park our car, probably to the public underground parking, locating one block from the hotel. The only negative is the small lobby and breakfast place.

We were wandering Grenoble when we came upon Grand Hotel. Initially we needed assistance with our cell phone and they gladly provided it. Later that day we returned for a room and were we ever glad. Lovely room. Very modern and clean. Quiet. Only drawback is parking.

My partner and I had one awful night at a different hotel in Grenoble and decided to leave the next day. I'd originally looked at booking the Grand Hotel but thought it might be a bit over the top as a place to stay with my partner after a week-long climbing/mountaineering trip in the Ecrin National Park. I now wish I'd booked in with them from the start, as their Classic Double Room was on par in terms of price (it was €7 cheaper than our last hotel) and much more comfortable than the 'upgraded' double room we booked at the other hotel nearer the train station. The bed was comfortable, the air conditioning was fantastic even on one of the hottest days of the year and the staff were simply lovely. The room, despite being the most basic one available, came with a mini bar, bathrobes and slippers, a little safe for valuables and free wifi. Even though the room had a view of the road in front of the hotel, the blackout curtains worked perfectly and we had a good night's sleep.

The only two niggles about our stay were: 1) the shower and toilet are semi 'open plan' and the shower screen isn't long enough to stop water splashing onto the towel rail and on the bit of floor by the toilet and sink (i.e. the floor mat gets quite wet), 2) the duvet can be too warm even with the air conditioning at its lowest temperature, 3) breakfast at the hotel is a hefty €19 but there is a nice boulangerie just in front of Halles Sainte-Claire and cafes where you can eat your pastries while enjoying tea/coffee

These gripes are very minor though, given what a nice stay we had! While some guests were fairly well dressed and therefore visibly well heeled, my partner and I were walking about in very casual clothing as we'd packed for an outdoors holiday with just a brief stay in the city, but were accorded every courtesy by the hotel staff, who were happy to call us a taxi off the streets to take us to the train station when we checked out, unlike the other hotel who told us to walk down the tramlines for a block with all of our luggage to hail a taxi...

I'd happily recommend Grand Hotel to friends and family and it will be my preferred hotel for future visits.

A one-week stay was not planned up-front. I do not think we could have find a more pleasant place to be in Grenoble. Very good bed in a nice decorated room. Pleasant atmosphere. No matter if you are on a business trip or want to stay with the family. It is a hotel you recommend to friends.
