The location just a few blocks from the Grenoble main railroad station is very convenient. The tram stop right around the corner makes it easy to get just about everywhere in the region, and there's always taxis at the train station if you want.
The staff was friendly and helpful, and spoke excellent English, not always the case in France. Rooms are nicely decorated, and while compact, efficient and workable. Breakfast is typically French, quite delicious if a bit light. France is a country that eats lunch!
I would have given it one more Star if the WiFi worked in my room. Might be better in the core rooms, I was out on a corner, but the signal was too weak to be reliable. Frustrating, because there was just enough to hook up and trick you into thinking you finally had something and then when you hit Send on an email, you discovered that you didn't. Staff tried something that helped, but didn't solve the problem.
I like it when hotels have WiFi, love it when they retain the old ethernet plugs so you have a backup if the WiFi doesn't work. Not here.
