“Location location location”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 14, 2012

On the port of Evian it's a great place in the summer. The food is good and they have never served me a bad meal. The wow factor is the location and the service is good. Worth every penny.

“Very friendly service, great view and good pre fix menu”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 22, 2012

My group of 4 girls had just come from Switzerland for 3 days where most of our dining experiences were just RUDE. To come into this town and find a quiet place on the lake with a very charming, english speaking french man. He covered our cold legs with blankets, took some english lessons from us and laughed alot. The steak frite with mustard sauce was divine. My fish with a white sauce served with rice and veggies was what gives the french the food reputation they have....YUMMY. The warm goat cheese salad was also excellent. I would recommend this stop if your just passing by as it is on the lake, not in the old town.

“Fabulous views, great service, good food.”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 15, 2012

La Voile is just slightly outside of the centre of Evian, at the end of the posh marina, housed in an interesting circular shaped building.

The gentlemen who run the restaurant are truly lovely, seeming to always remember previous customers and providing excellent, personal service being fluent in English as well as French.

The menu is varied but not wildly extensive but the consistent quality of the food means there is always something good to eat. My favourite dish is the prawns in a tomato sauce served with rice and veg, my husband always has their steak and fries. The price is reasonable for the location.

The restaurant provides fabulous views across the marina to Lac Leman and the Jura mountains. Sitting outside can be a bit chilly early or late in the season and so blankets are provided which is a nice touch.

The restaurant attracts a good selection of both locals and tourists and a lot of visitors are obviously repeat custom.

Highly recommended.
