La Voile is just slightly outside of the centre of Evian, at the end of the posh marina, housed in an interesting circular shaped building.
The gentlemen who run the restaurant are truly lovely, seeming to always remember previous customers and providing excellent, personal service being fluent in English as well as French.
The menu is varied but not wildly extensive but the consistent quality of the food means there is always something good to eat. My favourite dish is the prawns in a tomato sauce served with rice and veg, my husband always has their steak and fries. The price is reasonable for the location.
The restaurant provides fabulous views across the marina to Lac Leman and the Jura mountains. Sitting outside can be a bit chilly early or late in the season and so blankets are provided which is a nice touch.
The restaurant attracts a good selection of both locals and tourists and a lot of visitors are obviously repeat custom.
