Just come back from staying at the Dahu with Mark Warner. I went with a friend without children and was primarily interested in skiing and a sociable time rather than Apres ski.
Other guests were like minded - ranging from 30s to 70s.
Mark Warner staff were efficient attentive and friendly.
Food was of excellent quality and quantity - breakfast, afternoon tea and evening meal.
Bar was reasonably priced , quiet and relaxing. Hotel is 50 - 100yds from bar Le Jump where a livelier time was available.
Hotel was 100 yds from the snow so just short of ski in ski out.
Ski guiding was a great boon (and free) - split into three groups from leisurely to advanced.
Hotel was clean but decor very tired and dated.
Bedroom was basic and cramped but had everything you needed.

This hotel is in the prime spot in e heart of courchevel and seconds away from everything. A very nice stay. The rooms are in need of a refurbishment however i beleive tge were comfortable enough to enjoy my holiday. If your thinking about booking request the third floor rooms. All the staff are so friendly and efficient I could not fault anyone.this hotel is truly unbeatable.

The ski hosting service was a real bonus - fun & a good way to explore the entire 3 Valleys in a sociable group. You are then able to relax and eat on a social table in the evening with the people you meet. All three of the ski host team are just so knowledgable.

I'll now move on to food, to start they do a cooked or continental breakfast with porridge to order and fresh fruit. Then afternoon tea cakes and tea/coffee after skiing was just divine! The cakes were truly sensational. The 3 course meal with wine in the evening was well orgsnised by thr chalet team. There were two young ladys ( sophie and dani) who would go out of their way to make sure our evening service was top notch. Their bubbily conversation every night made our evening meal. Just a warning leave room for dessert as they are beautiful. Especially the White chocolate cheese cake! If you're going with kids, there's a high tea put on before the adults dine which looked really nice.

The hotel also offers a
Child care service which offers to rsje them to ski school and serves them dinner also. Baby sitting was also available on request.

Jo and adam on the bar worked very hard and make amazing cocktails. It was nice to see staff socailising in the bar and interacting with us as guests to even though they are off duty. The rugby was also shown with happy hour as the game was on.

Paul had such a wonderful team who are a big asset to make warner. I've never meet a mark warner team like this one. Without seeing all the friendly faces my holiday wouldnt of been the same.
So definately visit the Dahu the year.

We have been on a number of ski holidays but never experienced the superb service that we did in the Hotel Dahu in Courchevel last week. The Mark Warner team running the hotel were simply outstanding. The staff were always cheerful, even at 5:00 in the morning and nothing was too much trouble for them. The bar and restaurant had a nice friendly atmosphere, encouraging people to spend time there rather than go out into the town.

The wide range of choice and quality of food at all the meals would have graced a 4*/5* restaurant. Our room was a good size with a view of the mountains and kept in an excellent state by the lovely housekeeping team.

The ski hosting was brilliant, allowing us to enjoy 6 days of wonderful skiing and make new friends at the same time.

Overall a great holiday and we will certainly be going there again.

Great service, fantastic staff and superb food but all let down by very tired décor and furniture and furnishings. If you can bare that the rest is first class . I was so impressed with the management and the staff who really went out of their way to look after us.
Other hotels I have stayed in locally (and cheaper) serve free pre-dinner champagne , not the Dahu though, so beware the bar bills because happy hour is not that inexpensive!

My wife and I have just returned from a very enjoyable holiday in Courchevel 1850, the tour operator was Mark Warner and we stayed in the hotel Dahu. The distance to the main lift station is about 100 meters and there are several nice restuarants and bars close by although we found the hotel bar very reasonably priced with a good atmosphere. Our room was very comfortable with a balcony, en-suite facilities and television, the daily cleaning was to a very high standard.
Food in the restaurant was excellent probably the best we have had on a ski holiday, we sometimes thought we were on an eating holiday. The restaurant staff were first class always friendly eager to please and nothing too much trouble.
Another service on offer was ski hosting, being expertly guided around the three valleys and shown the best restaurants for lunch stops. Our ski host was a young man with a great sense of humor, we found him amusing and he really knew his way around the mountains. Our week would not have been as enjoyable without his company and friendly banter on the slopes.
All in all the staff were a great bunch always friendly cheerful and keen for every body to enjoy their holiday. I have to say I think Paul the manager runs a great team of young people. We are really looking forwards to our next visit to the Dahu.

If you want a good skiing holiday, this is an excellent choice. Location, ski area, food and service were all the best we have experienced in 30 years of ski trips.
The location is perfect – a short walk to the slopes and lifts. The ski area is fantastic with loads of long runs to suit skiers of all abilities. Our ski hosts knew the area well and we were able to explore the whole of the 3 valleys during the week. The lift pass is not cheap, but when you consider the area it covers, it is worth the money. The food was good: plenty of choice at breakfast, fabulous selection of cakes in the afternoon and a choice of 3 or 4 dishes with wine in the evening. The chalet hotel is well staffed and run with a good mix of efficiency and friendliness. Our only slight reservation was that we had paid more than we usually do and expected the hotel to be a bit more stylish. The hotel is perfectly comfortable and clean, the dining area was light and spacious and the lounge was spacious and comfortable, but the bedroom was on the small side and if we were choosing adjectives we would use ‘comfortable’ rather than ‘luxurious’. Having said that, the Dahu provides everything you need for a wonderful ski holiday. This is somewhere we will definitely re-visit.

I spent a week here with my partner in February. Although, I had read reviews about the hotel being dated I was shocked at it's condition. Think old 1 star and you might be somewhere close. The hotel seems to be run by what seems like a group of gap year students. Although they try their best, there is a complete lack of professionalism in every service they provide. One had to be up very early to get a clean cleared table or to get the best items at the breakfast buffet. Our bedroom was very pokey & had a door onto a fire escape which did not lock properly. The decor was tacky & the furniture looked like it had been bought 2nd hand 30 years ago & old carpets. Bathtime had to be very brisk with a faulty plug in the bath in the dated bathroom.

The location though was excellent, only a 2 minute walk to the ski lifts. Skiing in Courchevel is wonderful with magnificent views & a huge selection of runs. There are also quite a few fun bars nearby & good restaurants when you want to get away from the butlin's entertainment at the hotel. Only hotel guests are at the bar which is like an airport lounge. This is a british group and you will not meet any french or other Europeans at the hotel which I found disappointing.

The evening meal was of better quality than the breakfast.
Lots of families stayed at the hotel while we were there. There did seem to be substantial care for children provided & families seemed to enjoy themselves.

I would not recommend this hotel to couples or young people who want to have fun or anyone who likes any degree of luxury. There are many other hotels in Courchevel. The shabbiness of the hotel took away from what was otherwise a wonderful ski trip.
This review may seem harsh but I would have liked to have read it before i had booked. I felt I had been completely misled by the Mark Warner descriptions of the establishment.
