The apartments are centrally located and close to the ski lifts (50 metres).
The accommodation is clean and the rooms at the rear offer great views of the mountains.

Our apartment was branded as Chalet Oscar and marketed as 4 star and recently renovated, but what we found was a tired, albeit centrally located, apartment. The beds were the most uncomfortable were have ever endured. Rock hard, like sleeping on the floor. We had to ask for extra duvets to sleep on rather than under to try to make them bearable, but with no great success. The rooms were stuffy and poorly ventilated and when the cooker was used it filled the living room with a noxious smoke that drove us out of the room. The apartment was catered, but although our young host did her best she had been provided with inadequate equipment and an inadequate budget. She was not even allowed to provide fresh juice or yoghurts with breakfast as her food budget would not allow her to do so. It was catering on a shoestring yet the package was branded as 4 star with a price to match. We found that car parking was not included in the package and as there is no free parking in Courchevel 1850 we had to pay for an undergound parking space beneath the Forum apartments at a cost of 70 Euros for the week. We paid for WIFI access but most of the time it didn't work. All in all we felt conned.

We have just come back from a week here over New Year.

The apartmants are fine. Well appointed but not very clean. The location is fab. Its 2 mins to the main ski lifts and ski school and we loved the heated lockers.

The forum is a small complex with a great supermarket and bakerie and a few bars.

The Refuge bar and restaurant a short walk away is also reasonably priced.

Downisdes. Courchevel is packed with money and everything is horribly expensive. £120 for lunch for 4 for one course and a few soft drinks each !!

The apartments are very noisy if you get one overlooking the road which we did. Lorries , cars and party goers all night long do not make for uninterrupted sleep.

The skiing is good but the beginners slopes are very crowded and I wouldnt say it was any better than other resorts we have visited for half the price.

In conclusion take your earplugs and up you credit limit on your card and you will be fine !!

Location ..couldn't be better for skiing and local facilities which was great for my wife who doesn't ski
In brief .. accommodation is great we did return for our second visit this year. Although there are aspects of the general areas that are getting "tired". Beds are hard.. pillows insufficient.. kitchen was well equipped but - no toaster- compensated by the great bakery nearby - you'll need to do the skiing to work off the calories.
If you get a chance book a table at Le Fromagerie - fondue and great sharing family food meal (a little pricey - our meal was 320 euros for 11 of us. On the other hand get to Le Passage - just next to the forum and by the entrance to the shopping centre - great food, quick service and the best value lasagne in town!
The bottle and bin lorries are a pain at 6 - 7 in the morning - be prepared if you are on ground floor 4 or 5 bed apartment
FINALLY a note of caution - this year 3 weeks before we were due to arrive Pierre & vacances took our money and on the same day sent an email saying they were cancelling our apartment and offered us a smaller apartment and 20 % discount. I had 11 people in my group and it was a tight squeeze but With no other apartments in the town available at this short notice I had no choice but to accept discount( although I pushed and got 25% off plus supposed early access to apartment - which didn't happen) On our arrival there were others who had this year had similar bad experiences with one couple only getting a room because they had threatened to sue P & V - we will be looking for other apartments next year but will struggle to find better for price , standard and location

The Forum Apartments are extremely comfortable, spacious, clean, they have everything you need and are perfectly located in the resort of Courchevel 1850. They are only about 100m away from the ski lifts/schools ( so not too far to carry your skis ), and they are located next to / above The Forum which is a small shopping complex with supermarket, ski shops, bars, restaurants, pizza take-away, bakery and gift shops, as well as Ice skating rink and small 10 pin bowling alley.

Only downside is that the snow ploughs come up the road around 6am each morning and are very noisy, so if you have a room with a balcony overlooking the road my advice is to take earplugs.

The beds are very hard and we expected bad backs in the morning but surprisingly they were quite comfortable.

Courchevel 1850 is a fab ski resort, with much to offer skiers (my family) and non-skiers (myself). However it is VERY expensive, especially the restaurants higher up the slopes i.e a spaghetti bolognaise ranges from 10 - 16 EURO and a hot chocolate/coffee between 4 - 5 EURO.
