“Great time, great fun, big price.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 9, 2013

In the middle of the mountain, this hotel would provide almost everything you need for a winter vacation stay...rental ski stuff, good service, excellent clean rooms, very kind people (five star service at restaurant), spa, "haute cuisine" restaurant. The balcony view is astonishing, comfortable beds, Toto toilets...well, I was very well treated here. Something bad to say? Difficult...the shower in my room was too big for the size of the place, so you have to turn of the water to get soaped...this is bad? Well, there's another thing...pricey. One mini bar Coke = 14 euros...drank only 2 in a 7 days stay. But hey, you are in Courchevel 1850...if you want small prices, don't get near here. One life time experience.

The Annapurna hotel has been a reference for quality and good service since the eighties , when I first visited . They still have the same personnel and the same level of attention for details. Of course the hotel is under constant renovation (when it closes, during the summer) and you get the feeling that it is new. The food , starting with breakfast, is excellent . The piano bar, with the attention of Guy and Alain, two award winning barmen is very welcoming. Ski in-ski out, like most hotels in Courchevel, is very nice, and gives you an easy access to THE biggest ski area in the world. After a good day of skiing I went to the swimming pool, where I could relax watching the stunning views of the mountains. The restaurants on the slopes are outstanding, but I guess that is another chapter. The Annapurna is great value for money, I am definitely coming back before the end of the season.

Room Tip: If you want to pay less, ask for a north facing room, less sun, but great view too.

We will return to this hotel in an instant if we can. The friendly and professional service was outstanding in every area of hotel service. The beautiful common spaces, the pretty, clean and spaceous room (standard double), the fabulous spa facilities to enjoy after skiing, the delicious and fresh breakfast and dinner, all contributed to one of the best vacations ever. We have travelled to many places and ski resorts in the world and this was one of the best. Cannot think of anything they can imrpove on.

Room Tip: Our standard double room faced the mountain near the airport and it was wonderful. No noise problem...

it is really cool when you may ski just from the hotel's door.
Stuff was excellent + multilingual receptionist.
Food is great, rooms are clean.
Everything is fantastic! All you need just to relax and enjoy! But there is one "but" - in high season it is extremelly expensive.

Room Tip: Room 314 we had was very good.

The hotel was wonderful, perfectly located, the staff were very friendly. The food was fantastic I would definitely recommend the half board option.
The children's play room is aimed at very young children though my 4 year old still enjoyed it for a while, however the smell in that area was over powering and the hotel has said they would deal with this.
The pool, steam room and sauna were fantastic with amazing views. The spa however is not a spa, the treatments are very expensive in a very basic setting. Not worth the money!
We booked a junior suite and the room was beautiful and very comfortable with fantastic views.
We loved this hotel and are already booking our next stay

This is a fantastic hotel with incredibly high standards of both comfort and service. The dedicated staff team are very attentive and create the perfect atmosphere for a truely relaxing luxurious break. The location is second to none, directly to the side of the slopes below the altiport yet quiet and peaceful with superb mountain scenery for all rooms. We were half-board and found the restaurant excellent with both table d'hote and a la carte options to mix and match as you see fit - this also dovetailed very nicely with the option of occasional room service for our children when they felt too tired to dine in the restaurant. They have the best boot room we have experienced with each room enjoying personalised private ski lockers aswell as racks of boot warmers - with onsite ski rental and equipment sales. The free personalised shuttle down to the centre of Courchevel 1850 is well organised and prompt and works extremely well. The games room was enjoyed by our children as was the impressive pool and spa area with massage and physio services readily available on-site to treat minor injuries and weary muscles. The reception staff were always very pleasant and helpful and the service in the bar and restaurant top class. We will definitely return to the Annapurna as this was right up there with the best hotels that we have stayed at and we had a superb ski holiday.
