We went to this restaurant frankly becuase a number of our favorite places had closed for the season by the time we came to Courchevel this year. Although this place has been here for 20 years (as the Maitre D told us - they were voted one of the best "young" restaurants of Europe - but they are not that young anymore...) - we've never been. I am very happy we finally learned of this restaurant. It is very cozy and we were made to fill very comfortable. The food was really good (and among the seven of us we tried a number of dishes) and value for money excellent. We'll be pleased to visit again.

Very tasty food. High season and most of the high end restaurants were sold out. The char tar tar was excellent. Filet with foie gras not as good as expected - perhaps more dry than one would think. Wine list very, very expensive. Very hard not to spend 100 euros on the cheapest (albiet good) wine.

Only downside was the table of drunk, boorish Russians next to us. To give our hosts due credit they tried to kick them out. But these were truily loud, uncultured examples and left on their own schedule. Unfortunate because the prices deserve the experience.

We spent a week in Courchevel dining in as many restaurants as we could manage to experience. Unfortunately we dined at this one when we were not too hungry, so we ordered light and can't review too much. The location is a nice walk from the center, and it was directly across the street from the hotel where we were staying.

Even though we ate light, we enjoyed very nice oysters, a good salad and great soup choices. If you want an active restaurant, this may not be the best choice since we arrived when only one other group was there, and by the time we left we were the only customers. Probably it is busier on weekends and during peak times...we were also a bit early.

Sometimes we experience a bit of discomfort when ordering light in Courchevel, but not at this restaurant. In fact, when told we want to eat light, the manager suggested we don't order a couple of dishes we were considering since they were heavier. Kudos to management that is in business to satisfy, not just earn more money. In the long run that generally means people will return as we likely will on our next visit to Courchevel.

Nice little restaurant on the fringes of Courchevel's restaurant 'quartier'. Food was essentially Savoyarde tarted up mountain peasant fare. There with my son, we had an interesting moules et chanterelles (mushrooms) soup with saffron. I followed this with pot-au-feu (aka boiled beef and carrots) while the boy had confit of duck. My meat was a bit dry but the dish included a lot of broth so that was fine. Mon fils reported the duck pretty dry too which was not fine.

The wine list was targeted at oligarchs. I ordered the second cheapest (local) wine on the carte for 56 Euros. the whole meal was 240 Euros for the two of us.

I don't suppose they thought they were a rip-off - just keeping with the trend in Courchevel which is to try to cater for the Russians - who don't actually dine out much.

Good service, quite friendly, nice ambiance - just too much money for what you got

--service is good. Lady who took our order was lovely, attentive and with good personality. she described both dishes and wine carefully
--place is cosy though we were crowded in the middle of two big tables. The place is warm with nice glasses, candles, some statues. i wanted to be there
--food tastes good. We had salad and fish tartare and it was nice. Mild interesting flavour. Duck was crispy and lobster ravioli rich and soft - nice texture

I had the local wine and it was good thought a bit edgy

Recommend

We paid 100 eur per person including a 60eur bottle wine. Not cheap
