My wife, daughter (aged 8), my parents and I have stayed in this apartment and studio for many years. We holidayed on this particular occasion towards the end of the season in early April 2016. On this occasion I took my parents who conveniently stayed in the Studio and we as a family stayed in the apartment. This is ideal for this sort of setup as the studio offers a self contained living arrangement for parents or friends wanting a little extra privacy from the main apartment, but with the interconnecting door, still allowing them access to eating with us etc.
The apartment and studio is excellent value for money, but the main winner is the location with ski in and ski out capability. In my opinion this is one of the best locations in the French Alps that I have come across, and I spent 3 years working for First Choice staying in just about every resort in France. 1650 is a hidden gem. Rarely busy but with amazing links to the 3 valleys etc.
Would thoroughly recommend to anyone, and Phil is a fantastic owner to deal with etc.

Phil, the owner is great. So easy to deal with, totally trusting, totally trustworthy. Good information prior to booking and everything as we expected. The apartment is in a good position on the Belvedere slope at the top end of 1650 - so more like 1750. We stayed in the Studio apartment which is accessed via a "main door" where you enter a small lobby area then with a door to the Studio and a door to the two bedroom apartment. There is a large balcony which looks to the Belevedere slope beyond. We found the apartment quiet, the communal areas well cared for and the position of this apartment superb - very close to the building lift. Parking is in the underground car park so very easy to gain access to/from the apartment. While we had poor snow (Christmas 2015) we could see how the apartment would normally be ski in/ski out - very easy access. Just down the road is a ski rental shop as part of the hotel - so all very convenient. This studio offers exceptional value for money and for that reason we'd return again. The only thing I would change is maybe some slightly more professional looking information signs, e.g. take your ski boots off - they were handwritten and a bit scuffed around the edges. It gave a feeling of a more student type place and secondly, while cleaning is done on trust by the client each time, I'd personally rather pay to have it cleaned between bookings so it was done to a higher standard (but then I am super fussy). Lots of UK power points so very easy for UK clients, plentiful hot water, excellent wifi. Because the Owner is so easy to deal with and the apartment is in such a great location - quiet and on the slope AND because it's great value - we'd definitely recommend it.
April is really Courchevel's best kept skiing secret, great snow and quiet slopes, especially in 1650. We were surprised to hear that 1850 doesn't shut until the last weekend in April, and resorts nearby not until early May!!
We rented both the 2 bed apartment and the studio, which link easily to create a large 3 bed apartment, perfect for us as our parents came along to look after the kids, and they enjoyed the privacy of the studio. There are plenty of DVD’s for the children to enjoy and of course there is free wifi in the apartment! Another bonus for us was the blue Belvedere ski lift which is only 50 meters from the apartment. It's Free!! So is the Nursery slope below. It saved our parents 2 days of ski pass as they ventured out on the snow for the first time in 20 years! The skiing in Courchevel is amazing and now they are building a huge Spa, with pools, saunas etc which is due to open in 2015. I've never seen such a large complex in a ski resort. It's linked directly to Courchevel 1650 so we will be returning soon!!
