59 of us descended on Le Vert Hotel this weekend and we couldn't have landed in a better place. Barney, Richard, Liz, Claire and the rest of the team made our trip, nothing was too much trouble. They ferried us around, took care of our ski lessons, sorted all boots & ski's with the onsite hire shop, served great drinks, got the best sound system in for a party and spoiled us with the most amazing food, every night. The chef got a standing ovation from us at the end of the trip. Thoroughly recommend the hotel and their team - a class act.

Just stayed for one evening en route to Grands Montets. After getting through traffic in Geneva, late check-in was easy with no problem parking in early season. Basic room cozy but nice with all the basics, all in good shape. Despite thin walls characteristic of an older building, more charm and history than alternatives, with friendly & helpful staff. Would stay again, would recommend to a friend.

Room Tip: Corner rooms may be quieter and get nice light

My husband and I visited Chamonix in October (2013), without any hotel reservations, and happened upon "Le Vert Hotel". Staff was VERY friendly and relaxed; Claire (at the reception); was SUPER friendly and gave great information on the restaurants in the area.
It was perfect for us. We had a room with 2 skylights, and a little balcony. The room itself was clean & cosy! Only downfall was that while in our room, the Wifi signal wasn't strong enough to reach the room; not a big deal for us as we would catch Wifi near the reception.
We really enjoyed our stay here. The hotel is a little outside of town, but very convenient for us since we had a rental car - therefore easy for parking!
Since we visited during low season, the hotel bar & restaurant were closed. However, we did have breakfast here (and Claire was kind enough to make us freshly brewed coffees) !
Nice, clean place. Great value for the area. We wouldn't hesitate to return here !

This hotel is good value for money for Chamonix, rooms are comfortable and what you would expect for the money. The food in the restaurant is excellent and good value. the bar is relaxed and friendly.

The downside is the location, it's a good 20 minute walk from the centre of Chamonix and there is nothing around, no other bars / restaurants.

To get to the slopes there is a bus service, to get to some areas are 2 buses, not fun. The hotel offers a taxi service, which is good value but needs to be booked early.

Overall good hotel, location needs to be understood.

after a long day of tracking, paragliding, etc, you want to eat and go to sleep. Well eating at the hotel was not possible because the restaurant was closed. And sleeping was impossible, our room was right at the beginning of the stairs so we heard absolutely everything. It was as having a paper wall. The room was also poorly cleaned
