Great little studio which suited our family of 4 perfectly for a few days in Chamonix. The owner's communication was great in answering questions ahead of booking and then before our stay to let us know where the key was (which was a bit tricky to find, but we got there in the end!). The building is in a great location just a few minutes' walk from central Chamonix (which meant you weren't bothered by the noise of the bars and restaurants) and from attractions like the Montenvers train and Aguille de Midi.
The flat was spotlessly clean, and the owner had helpfully left leaflets about local attractions on a shelf for our perusal. The double sofa bed was a decent size for 2 large adults and actually very comfy (much better than I expected a sofa bed to be!). The kids' bunk beds were sturdy, although I wouldn't put a young child on the top as the safety rail was quite short. There wasn't loads of storage space, but this didn't matter to us as we only stayed a couple of nights. There were coat hooks and shoe storage.
The dining table was small, but adequate enough for breakfast and lunch. There was a hob and microwave for preparing food, but we didn't use them.
The car park was usefully not height restricted as we had a roof box, and was just at the back of the building so close by (you could see your car if you craned out of the side window), and the view from the main window was stunning!
Security felt good, with keys to enter both the building and the apartment itself. I felt safe in Chamonix.
All in all a very pleasant stay, and I would definitely return and recommend this apartment to friends.
For the money we paid, we couldn't fault this apartment. It isn't the largest of accommodation, but for a couple it was fine. I'd say it would be suitable for a family of 4, but perhaps a little cramped for 4 adults because of the storage space for ski gear etc.
Just over the river from the top of the pedestrianised area of Chamonix, it was a 1-minute walk to the bars, restaurants and shops of the town, meaning that all required amenities are practically on your doorstep, but you don't get any noise disturbance from being on the main road.
The apartment was also a 2-minute walk to the Chamonix Sud bus stops for transfer to pistes up and down the valley, and the Aiguille du Midi cable car is a little further down this street.
Oxana greeted us wonderfully - she let us leave our bags there whilst the apartment was cleaned ready for us, and gave us all of the relevant information we needed. She was also communicative throughout our stay, and very friendly and helpful.
The apartment has everything you would need - we cooked our own breakfasts and prepared lunches to take onto the pistes, so the kitchen was well equipped enough for this. The beds were comfortable enough.
The bathroom is a little dated, and would benefit from refurbishment to match the standard of the rest of the apartment. The only other 'constructive' feedback I could think of is that it would be nice if there was a hairdryer in the apartment for guests to use.
Overall, our experience was great, and we would definitely stay here again if we return to Chamonix.
