It is hard to forget the true French Savoyard experience especially in Chamonix. Located in the city center, here one can taste what Haute Sovoie has to offer in an ambient but busy atmosphere. Typically "french" service, mid priced dishes & quite a warm outside patio.

We chose from one of the fixed price menus. The salmon tartare and the asparagus were beautifully presented and very tasty. The chicken was fresh and perfectly cooked. One of us had the strawberry dessert, another the apricot tart. Both were excellent. The service was prompt and pleasant.

We visited the restaurant for dinner with friends who had been there before. It has a beautiful location just over the river and part of the restaurant juts out and you actually feel you are in a boat over the river. The food was excellent. We tried several different dishes and everything was delicious and beautifully presented. The foie gras was very nice a the fish was delicately cooked and very tasty. The service was friendly and courteous

We went for a birthday celebration, so were happy to splash out a little. Though, in actuality, it was barely more expensive than other restaurants in the area (Chamonix is not a cheap destination).
Very attentive service, great view of Mont Blanc if you get a window seat, very enjoyable food and wine.
We stayed 2 hours as our table was booked for another sitting, but probably would have stayed longer otherwise.

Picture the scene. You have passed a long, tiring day gliding effortlessly about the mountains, from Les Houches to Les Grands Montets; clambering onto chair lifts, slicing down black slopes, perhaps aching a bit from a few falls. Lunch was an overpriced baguette fromage so you're willing to splash out on dinner. You pass the post office and pause outside ATMOSPHERE. A bit expensive, but it looks nice. Should you enter?

I am here to help. Before you decide, please consider the below.

Do you want to pay premium prices for mediocre food?
IF YES, GO TO ATMOSPHERE!

Are you in the mood for a tepid entrée?
IF YES, GO TO ATMOSPHERE!

Do you want to shart a hole through your mattress that same night?
IF YES, GO TO ATMOSPHERE!

Do you want to spend €150 on a three-day ski pass, only to miss one whole entire day because you're back in the hotel spewing vomit across every surface?
IF YES, GO TO ATMOSPHERE!

Do you want the privilege of encountering the most rude and arrogant wait staff in all of France, whose sole suggestion would be that you absorbed E. coli from the very air that we breathe?
IF YES, GO TO ATMOSPHERE!

Do you want to spend €700 on a meal which transpires to be an inadvertent 3-day cleanse?
IF YES, GO TO ATMOSPHERE!

If you answered NO to any of the above, I would kindly advise that you instead turn the corner and make the 3-minute walk to McDonald's - or literally anywhere else. At least there they won't recommend the specialty of the night, only to return some minutes after the order has been made to inform the table that said specialty is no longer available (??).
