“Brilliant food, but victim of it's own success - too busy!”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 29, 2013

The food here is really, really good and moderately priced for it's quality. But you need to go early (or book), and you need to be prepared to be jostled by other customers (tables are cosy), and for the waitstaff to be frantic because they are juggling too many tables. Doesn't sound fun, but actually it's great - I'd highly recommend it, but just be prepared that this is not a fine dining experience, more a high end Trattoria.

“Great food, be patient with the service as it's worth it.”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 16, 2013

OKAY, the service can be a bit difficult to get used to. There are two seatings for dinner, 7pm and 9pm. We walked to the restaurant around 6:30 and asked to have our name put down for 7pm. We came back, were seated immediately. The issue seems to be with the arrival of the dishes. They are not served at the same time. If this is a problem for you, don't go. So we had some pizza and some pasta ordered at our table. The meals were wonderful. Awesome big pizza and wonderful tasty pasta. It was so good we came back two nights later and ordered pizza's to take out. We brought them back to our restaurant and ate them on the patio. We had enough for leftovers to eat for lunch on our hike the following day. Bring zip lock sandwich bags on your trip just for times like this. We left the pizza boxes on the outside patio of our room at night and they stayed plenty cold.

“It's not me, it's you.”
1 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 12, 2013

I'm sorry, the time has come, it's time to separate. We've been together as lovers of pizza and cheap house wine for a long time, but lately things have changed. Last night was the final straw. There were 7 of us, and 3 of us had finished our past meals and there was still no sign of the 4 pizzas remaining, no apologies and no real updates on what is a very unusual way to serve dinner for 7. My friend had the gaul to ask when we might expect our pizza's and what happened next quick frankly surprised and shocked me. A torrent of abuse about how this was "normal" and how we were being impatient. It was unacceptable and crossed every level of remaining love I had for you. The pizza's are good, but being insulted in front of an entire restaurant was a bridge too far, and as much love as I have the tiramisu, a relationship cannot be sustained on coffee based deserts.

I'm sorry, it's over, you are dumped and I will not be coming back.

“Family Pleaser”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 14, 2013

The interior space is better than it appears from the street. Do make a reservation as they were completely booked on a Monday night in July. Pizza was very good (recommend the spicy salami). Service was fine. The family was happy and we would return.

“average food but appalling service”
1 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 20, 2013

7 of us showed up for lunch at 12.30 on a thursday. it was hardly occupied.from sitting down to ordering was nearly 30 minutes. the waitress didnt speak english or french particularly well. we had to go thru the order a few times. drinks were served to the wrong people - a panache was mixed each time with a beer order. worst of all having ordered 3x lasagne only two turned up. the waitress response was i order another one. we had to leave at 2.30 as our two year old had enough. on discussing poor service with the waitress she smiled and said not my fault.
we had a great meal here five years ago as party of ten but never again. i had to verbally argue with the waitress to remove the 3rd lasagne from the bill. the rest of food was just about average
