My sister and I stayed at the Tissieres chalet for a long weekend in January. Upon arrival, we were greeted by two hosts who couldn't have been more welcoming, offering us champagne and snacks. This set the scene for our whole stay. The three course evening meals were amazing - just as good as some of the best restaurants in London. Our room was very comfortable, and it was great to have a dip and a drink in the hot tub after a long day's skiing. The chalet is luxurious yet very homely, with stunning views of Mont Blanc.
The chalet is within easy reach of all the slopes, shopping and nightlife. The hosts drive you to and from the pistes each day which is so convenient.
We would definitely recommend staying at the Tissieres chalet - so much so, we now plan to go back next year!

Chalet Tissieres is a great chalet ran by lovely people in a beautiful location (I wish I could live there!!!).
We were camping and the weather wasn't great so we decided to stay at Chalet Tissieres. I am glad we did! The chalet was clean, comfortable and chilled out in the evening. It was a great place to relax with a glass of red wine looking at the amazing views after a long day mountain biking. I am sure we will be back in the near future!
Used the Chalet as a base for my 2 week climbing trip in the Chamonix area. Its a very quiet location with a magnificent view of Mt Blanc. Renske and the staff were very co-operative in making last minute changes as climbing plans changed. Good breakfast and dinner. The comfortable lounge is a great place to relax and share the days results with people of similar interest.
My first time at Chalet Tissieres, and I was really impressed, my room was very comfortable and clean. the communal lounge area is great for relaxing after a hard day. The food was great plenty of it.
I would recommend Chalet Tissieres to anybody going to Chamonix, will be going back again.
We stayed several times this summer for both mountain biking and climbing trips and the place was ideal as a base! We've stayed in lots of places in a similar price bracket in Chamonix and Chalet Tissieres is certainly the best place to hang out on those inevitable rainy days. The large and sociable lounge area is perfect for a few beers in the evenings. Generally fellow residents also have adventures planned in the mountains the next day, so it tends to quieten down by midnight.
The view onto the Bosson Glacier really is something special, and the huge garden area and plentiful parking makes it a very enjoyable and easy place to sort out kit at the beginning or end of an adventure.
The chalet atmosphere was always fun and friendly and the hosts Emma and Dave were fantastic and always made a real effort to look after our group. Food was good and plentiful and pitched just right for hungry climbers/walkers/bikers.
The beds are comfy and shared bathrooms immaculately clean and well appointed. While the shared rooms vary in size (we stayed in a few different ones), and some of the beds are bunks, this wasn't a problem, but something that is worth expecting. If you are a particularly light sleeper, perhaps it's worth spending a few extra euros for a private room (still making the price very fair), or bringing some earplugs!
Only thing to note is that the chalet is around a 40min walk from Chamonix centre, and while there is a regular bus service, if you lack your own transport, getting in and out of Chamonix - particularly later in the evening - could be problematic.
Great chalet: nice atmosphere, full of friendly walkers, climbers and Mt Blanc aspirants! The rooms are nice and there is a great communal lounge area, the food is awesome and vegetarian-friendly. It's about 45 mins walk from Chamonix centre (along a nice riverside trail), or there are hourly buses which take 10 mins. The staff were very friendly and accommodating and are happy for you to leave a bag of kit if you want to stay up in a mountain hut for a night.
We were so pleased with our stay at Chalet Tissieres, not only was the chalet beautifully authentic and spacious, the staff and quality of service were second to none. I think chalet Tissieres is a jewel in the Chamonix Valley. For all that we received we thought the price was very fair.
The view and setting is peaceful and spectacular-the glacier feels as if you can reach out and touch it.
The food was fantastic, the owners and staff were very welcoming, accommodating and friendly.
We would recommend Chalet Tissieres without hesitation.
