Stayed with a team of around 20 for a work retreat. We had enough people to largely occupy the whole hotel, so it was really a great retreat location to get to know the team - as every guest there was part of our group. Everything about the hotel was quaint and well cared for. We really felt comfortable during our stay. The small staff worked tirelessly to attend to our needs. The food was very, very good. Many small dishes of superb quality. My only complaint (which is common among many international hotels) was the quality of the internet connection. When I was able to connect, it was very slow - and often kicked me out, causing a restart. With more and more travelers mixing business with leisure, hotels will do better to get ahead of this trend.

The staff of the hotel du Jeu de Paume and the staff of the restaurant Le Rosebud thank you very much for your very positive review. We have transmitted to our staff your satisfaction provided by their kind attention. Concerning the wifi connection, you are absolutely right and we will improve it.

Be welcome to the Valley of Chamonix Mont-Blanc during your next retirement stay!
Kind Regards

We (two couples) stayed at le Jeu de Paume for three nights. The service was very good, very friendly, in the hotel and in the restaurant, and the food excellent as well. Located in Lavancher,it is about 10 minutes from Chamonix, but it is wonderfully located off the main road, and so it feels like a private village. I had stayed there 7 years ago and I remebered how friendly it was then. If you have a car, in my view its THE way to visit Chamonix ...as feel like you are in the mountains, isolated, and yet minutes from some of the most wonderful mountains and glaciers in the world. And if you dont have a car, the bus is pretty good service as well.

Room Tip: If you want a view of the glacier, ask for it.

We had the pleasure to spent 2 nights at Le Jeu de Paume, hotel is a large chalet type house with indoor swimming pool, sauna, steam room indoor and outdoor jacuzzi and a great restaurant.
The staff is young, very helpfull and polite, all are friendly and professional.
Location is very good if you do not want to be in the downtown buzz, hotel is halfway between Chamonix and Argentiere so a quick 5 minute drive will take you to the city.
The room was clean and spacious(we were lucky to be upgraded!) and the overall feeling of the property is very cosy. Would recommend it to anyone staying in the Chamonix Valley.

Went there on a corporate long weekend together with colleagues and clients. Very cosy atmosphere and fantastic food. Located a bit off, so you do need a car

It's a warm and comfortable place outside chamonix. The hotel is very quiet. Staff is friendly and helpful. The beds are of good quality. Sauna and steambath is little but working well. Breakfast is a good standard. You have to pay EUR 15.-- p.P. extra for the breakfast. Parking is free. We didn't make a reservation and were happy to get the last room. Because of other groups in the hotel, we couldn't have a table for dinner in the hotel. If you are an individual guest, you feel a little on the second priority. This is the minus.

could be small charming hotel ideally located for exception skiers. devoted staff not always very professional. excellent restaurant though. they sold a 160 bed and we got 2x80. had to 5x to get it changed. tiny sauna but with view on the garden. 2 jacuzzies and 1 indoor pool. plenty of small salons. nice cheminée. beware of terrible sewers smell for which they "can't do anything" as it is because it is melting or because it is windy or because it is freezing, depending on whom you ask. poorly isulated - just hope you dont get a wicking outing at the bar!
