We loved that this was a tiny, untouristy restaurant, just a three minute walk off the pedestrian mall. The chef/owner came out to do our steak tartar presentation and again at the end to give us free apertifs. It was a wonderful place with good food, reasonable prices and the BEST CHOCOLATE cake ever.

Any restaurant where the Chef comes out to see if you are enjoying the food is fantastic in my book. The food from the fondue, French onion soup, fresh pasta and duck dishes were all fantastic. The food was beautifully presented and the taste was melt in your mouth good! Although the waitress did not speak much English, we got by with hand signals just fine. They even made special kids meals for my two young kids ages 4 & 6. Really a small restaurant with lots of heart and soul into their food. I woudl gladly return to this restaurant and recommend it to others.

Lovely staff and a warm hospitable environment. The food was a little bit basic and we all found it to be a little bit salty. I don't wish to be over critical because it was tasty, but it didn't live up to the quality of some of our other dining experiences in Chamonix.

We had just finished the TMB and were very tired the first time we ate here, but the food, service and wonderfully friendly staff made us forget our fatigue. This is great food at a good price! We returned the next night and it didn't disappoint. Everything from tartarflette and fondue to chicken and steak, all very tasty, and the deserts are wonderful. Don't miss the apple tart or creme caramel. The husband and wife chef and front of house team were very friendly, with George-Pierre the chef joining us for a hilarious Aussie English / French conversation at the meal's end over a glass of genepi liqueur. This restaurant is off the main drag and is better for it, being quieter and less busy. But it is still very easy to find. We loved it and I'm sure anyone else would too.

Really fine family run, high quality restaurant.
We sat outside and enjoyed the fresh air..restaurant was very busy.
Perhaps the only suggestion we might make is to bring in an extra person when busy.
The language was also difficult, I ordered medium rare and got rare. I'm not sure she understood "medium"...she knew very little English, he knew more.
Aside from that we loved the warmth and effort in the cooking.
