“Very nice small hotel”
Reviewed May 23, 2013

We went there for 2 night beginning of May. We got a double room. Room are small but very cute. As we were bringing our baby daughter they gave us an upgrade.
Bathroom had a lovely bathtub.
The staff was very professional & friendly
Breakfast buffet was quite good.
The spa... I tried a pregnancy massage. It was ok but not amazing. I get massages quite often and I felt the masseuse was quite unexperienced
Second night we had to get another room for my husband as our daughter spent first night crying. On the final bill they gave us a good discount or that room for free. Very kind from them
I would definitely come back

I traveled alone to Chamonix and spent 2 nights at Le Faucigny. The women working at the front desk were all extremely friendly and helpful. My room was immaculate, and I enjoyed the decor of the entire hotel. The hotel is within walking distance of everything (Aiguille du Midi cable car station, Montenvers train station, a couple museums, and many restaurants and places to shop. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay & would definitely stay here again! WONDERFUL!

The Good Stuff - rooms and communal areas very modern and nicely decorated but some paintwork looking a bit end of season as you would expect. The staff are excellent, very helpful and nothing too much trouble, most fluent in english. Very close to the centre of town. They serve complimentary hot drinks and cakes in the afternoon. Free wifi.
Our room was a superior room at the back of the hotel, which only seems to give you a bit more space. Woken at 6am by what we thought was a building site in full swing and the noise was constant so no holiday lie in. Actually the hotel backs on to a supermarket and this was the sound of deliveries and unloading. We did complain and were moved to a quieter room which was smaller but the staff did all the moving and they did refund me the difference, so they dealt with the probllem very well. I wouldn't want to stay longer than 1 night in a non-superior room, bit of a squash.
The rooms are small but maybe this is normal for Chamonix. Not the place for you if you struggle with stairs as there is no lift, but again the staff did offer to help with the bags.
Breakfast was nice enough but overpriced at €12 per head and the only 2 hot choices of scrambled egg and bacon both ran out on our second morning. They were replenished but we had finished breakfast by then.
The hotel is also a bit creaky and you do get a fair amount of noise disturbance from creaking floors and doors.
So mixed feelings - would I return, probably no.

This hotel was perfect, but the best part was the staff. Every different girl we encountered with questions or just walking through the lobby was very nice and professional. They even immediately recognized we were americans and spoke english to us from the get go which was very considerate since we were rusty with our french. The rooms are all smaller, as expected, but wonderfully designed. The exterior and interior of the hotel was very cute! It is in a great location and very affordable for the accommodations. We only stayed one night to visit Chamonix, but wished we had stayed another due to our happiness with this hotel and all of Chamonix. Would highly recommend to others.

Just back from 6 nights in Chamonix at Le Faucigny.
The staff are extremely helpful; when I hurt my knee skiing they arranged for my hired skis to be returned and a refund to be given for the hire.
The rooms are small but perfectly formed. Comfortable beds and a good shower. Breakfast was lovely and afternoon tea was a treat when back from a day out. The spa is an added bonus to the hotel. I had a facial with Helene which was a perfect way to end a busy day skiing.
Location is perfect: very central and staff are on hand to recommend bars and restaurants as well as things to do.
We will be back. The sooner, the better!

We were only in Chamonix for one night and i wanted somewhere central. I managed to get a fabulous rate of €80 for a double room in this hotel. The girl on reception was extremely nice and answered all our queries. The ski and boot room is great, you have the ability to lock your skis and the boot rack is heated.
Unfortunately we checked in too late to use the spa area but it looked really nice.
The room was small, but that is standard for French ski resorts especially in such a central location.
Breakfast was lovely, everything you could want to sustain you on a long day skiing.
Also there was free wifi with good reception.
I would definitely go back there again.

I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Chamonix, hotel has great decor, with comfortable and relaxing communal areas. The spa pool is great. The location is perfect as central to restaurants and bars but with easy access to skiing.
Even better though than the above was the staff, they could not have been more helpful, friendly and accommodating to all our requests and questions. The free afternoon tea and cake was an added bonus.
The rooms are not big but were comfortable and clean, most people don't visit Chamonix to sit in a hotel room so I wouldn't let this put you off. The communal areas are very comfortable and relaxing if you do want to have some down time.
