It's hard to find a good restaurant in Chamonix that serves food that is better than you can cook at home, but doesn't leave your wallet utterly depleted. Oh, and isn't all about cheese.
A great place for European-Asian fusion. Excellent meat, a couple of vegetarian options. My current favourite, but you will need to book ahead.

A simple yet inviting, warm and friendly niche in which to enjoy a wonderful coffee and even better home made gastronomic morsels! The soups are divine and this place is certainly worth a visit for simplicity and good taste.

We headed here for a hearty brunch on New Year's Eve with the idea of filling up then having a day out ahead of our NYE meal. I was really really disappointed by the choice here. 2 quiches (one chicken, one veg) and a very basic continental breakfast.
We all had the continental, bar one of our party who had the quiche. The food was ok. Not bad, not great.
I think there are far better breakfast/brunch spots in Chamonix. I wouldn't go back sorry!

We returned to this little cafe for our daily coffees and their seriously good simple French food (soups, quiches and pastries) all made in house. The lunch menu, which includes a delicious and healthy soup and quiche was only €9. The croissants are one of the best I've tasted and the Lavazza coffee is also very good - try the 'Mont Blanc' topped with chantilly cream.

We love PIE for its wholesome soups and quiches, made fresh daily. In France there's an abundance of sweet treats and unhealthy food choices at high prices so it's a real treat to find a healthy homely alternative in a cute and cosy environment. Great value for money compared to any hotel or restaurant of a similar standard of environment and quality. We had carrot and coconut soup and a delicious quiche, a coffee and a hot chocolate, and free wifi too.
We will be regulars here during our stay in Chamonix :)
