“A Great place to stay!”
Reviewed February 19, 2012

Stayed at the Hotel la Sapiniere for a week in February - what an amazing hotel with truly amazing Staff. The manager was great and extremely helpful. The Food is amazing, we couldn't fault anything about the Hotel. Also set in a great location close to the Pistes. The only minor negative was that it was advertised with a Sauna and a TV in the room, But neither were present. only wanted the tv to watch the days GoPro activities, and the Sauna would have been a bonus. But the amazingness of the hotel overshadowed this and he had an amazing time!

Would definititely go there again,

Stayed here Christmas 2011 and it was the best present a family could have. First impression would be it looked a bit dated, but the quality of the service and the friendly staff well and truely wiped out that thought. Great location close to the slopes and just a short stroll into the town centre. Magnificent views from our rooms with a nursery slope just accross the road. While not huge, the rooms were clean and tidy. Don't stay here if you are on a diet as the food was 5 star and plenty of it, all prepared fresh. A lovely lounge area with a small bar was great place to mix with other guests over a quiet drink before dinner. I would recomend ski lessons if you have not been here before as the instructors show you so much of the area you would probably not see by yourself.

Room Tip: Make sure you get a room that looks out to Mont Blanc.

Had read before arrival that the hotel is 'a bit dated' Old world charm more like it, yes there are some dated bits, our bathroom in room 40 was a bit worn out, but everything worked. The room had a comfortable bed, was clean and had stunning views of Mont Blanc from its balcony. What made this hotel special was the food, which was 5* and the staff, who were all very professional and helpful, nothing was too much trouble. The location is perfect, only a short flat walk to the slopes and ten mins from the main town. The main free ski bus stops at the bottom of the road, first class all round.

What a hotel?! It may say 3* on the tin, but this hotel is 5* in the quality of evening meals and the service of the Inghams staff at the hotel.
We booked a late ski deal with Inghams, we were made up to get a deal in Chamonix, we read the reviews of this hotel and thought we would be staying in a very average accomodation, but I can honestly say, the La Sapinere is one of the best 'value for money' hotels i've stayed when away on a ski holiday. If you read some other reviews on this hotel, people make the hotel sound very old and shabby, but people forget you stay at this hotel for the location (Chamonix - one of the best ski resorts in Europe) and the board basis, your not staying at this hotel to relax and spend all your day in your room or the lounge area, are you?!
The biggest plus to the week was the quality of the food served. Every dinner was better than the previous night! Three courses of high-quality flavour-full food. Unlimited wine whilst seated at dinner. Tea and Cakes at 4:30pm each day - freshly cooked cake, biscuits, quiche and soup each afternoon. Breakfast was a typical continental breakfast with a different hot option each morning.
Inghams staff were very friendly and attentive all week, rooms were tidied to a very high quality each day as well. Reception staff were informative and would go out of their way to provide information for you.
The Room (Twin Room #5) was facing the nursery slopes - great to look at the weather conditions each morning. The beds were comfy. Decent sized bathroow with a proper sized bath.
Overall I would describe this chalet as a rough diamond that has been polished to perfection by the staff of Inghams.

Went to Chamonix on a group ski trip, 55 people. We all stayed at this chalet hotel. Food was superb, staff were friendly and helpful. Bus stop outside. Brevent/Flagere ski area out the front door. Short walk to town centre. The hotel is a little dated and some rooms appear to have new bathrooms but it did not matter. We stayed in room 27 which had a great view of Mont Blanc and the surrounding mountains. Would recommend this hotel.
