“Not the best place among Chamonix slopes”
Reviewed May 25, 2014

As a matter of fact, I enjoy eating on the slopes. Both quick sandwiches/hot-dogs, as well as more sophisticated meal will suit me. Nevertheless, I didn't enjoy this paticular place at all. May be it was the end of their service, and that's the reason. Self-service cafe with some snacks and mostly italian dishes as pizza, pasta, antipasti and cheese. My simple pasta with creamy sauce was just tasteless, that's a shame. I didn't try antipasti as they looked like they've laid there for a while, again, it was the end of the day. Prices also looked rather high to me, especially considering the overall experience.
Spending two weeks in Chamonix, I've been in quite good places on the slopes (Brevent, Les Houches, etc.) where I fully enjoyed the meal for a resonable price. I guess, if you're able to do Grand Montets you must be so hungry in the end that you'll like this place anyway.

“For a busy mountain self service restaurant it's surprisingly good”

a plate of charcuterie and anti pasti is an excellent choice here from a wide range of options. Seems to improve with every year
