One of the best experiences in a long time. I would never have expected to end up in such a great place when strolling along the Arve River on a lookout for a great meal. I was standing in front of the restaurant and was attracted by the menu. The place had to be entered over a small staircase from the riverside and can easily be missed from there. The ambiance was great and very comforting. The service warm, friendly and very attentive. The food excellent in quality, creativity and taste. That all combined with lots of attention to detail for a price tag that is hard to beat. I have nothing but praise for the place and rest assured when back in Chamonix I'll be back at Le Cap Horn!

We ate here for lunch and enjoyed it so much we came here for dinner too. Interesting menu with some classic regional dishes and some international ones too like sushi and wagyu beef. Good wine list - slightly pricey but it reflects the standard of the restaurant and the service. I had the ceviche for lunch which was refreshing and very limey! Followed by organic salmon which was a lovely piece of fish perfectly cooked. Dinner started with beef carpaccio - very tasty, followed by fish stew with good chunks of fish. A fantastic vanilla souffle followed, with a very good cup of coffee to finish. Service was excellent and despite being busy on the evening, we were never rushed and were left alone to enjoy a lovely leisurely meal watching night fall over the mountains. Highly recommended.

An excellent restaurant overlooking the l'Arve River. Well-decorated, on multiple levels, with some interesting decoration.
Dinner was OK; I chose the pierrade which wasn't presented how I would normally expect it to be. Just the meat and some potatoes, no fries, salad, crozets..... other peoples dinner looked much better.
Fairly expensive (to a poor Brit!), but maybe not by French standards. Would recommend.

We had an absolutely brilliant meal here one evening. The place seems to get busy so either get there early (7pm) or make a reservation - either way it is definitely worth it.

The food was amongst the best we have ever had in a restaurant - and whilst it wasnt cheap, it was fantastic for a special occasion meal.
The menu was also quite varied for such a high class restaurant - and we had completely different meals, but they were both absolutely cooked to perfection and superbly tasty.

I couldnt recommend this place more.
