Having been in Chamonix all week, we had become a little disillusioned at the dining on offer. Our hope to find modern French cuisine without feeling like a bucket of oil had been poured everywhere had so far not been successful. We visited this restaurant based on reviews on Trip advisor and we were not disappointed. The waiter translated the menu, and read me the specials as I had forgotton my glasses. He was very helpful throughout the meal, and attentive when required.
The food! Aspragus risotto and mackarel for entree, delicately seasoned pork and then fish with vegetables for main, and we both had freshly cooked peach tart with fresh mint from the kitchen garden for dessert.
I feel like this is an up and coming restaurant that will be always booked out once people discover it is there (it is not on the main street, so you would not look for it unless you knew it was there.
The whole bill came to 58E without drinks, but if someone had told me he was charging triple that I would have paid.
