We spent 4 nights in the Morgane with my wife and 2 children; I booked a family suite which was supposed to accommodate all 4 of us; what a disappointment when I discovered a standard room with a sofa bed in the middle which impeded the access to the balcony. It also had an extremely tiny bathroom. For the cleaning, we were also shocked to see that the vaccum had not been used for a while below the sofabed, and without mentionning the extremely unpleasant smell in the bathroom. When we complained the next morning, the manager was very rude, an attitude that contrasts a lot with the rest of the staff who was in general very nice; we were nonetheless able to get a larger room and finished our stay in Chamonix in much better conditions. The spa in the basement of the hotel was far from being at the standart of a 4 star and the person at the front desk was as unpleasant as her manager. The only strong points of this place are the restaurant, its close location to downtown Chamonix, and the view to the Mont-Blanc from most of the rooms. Except for the Manager and the spa front desk, staff was very helpful and nice, but the Morgane is definitely not a place that could claim 4 stars.

I have stayed in close to 1000 hotels in my lifetime and the staff at Le Morgane is the most helpful, most pleasant and most efficient I have ever experienced. This is particulalry true of the reception staff. Cudos to these individuals and the mangement that selected and trained them.

The hotel is very conveniently located just three minute walks from the Mt. Blanc cable car and the main pedestrain street. Breakfast quality and selection was above average.

Our superior (or deluxe) double room left a lot to be desired. The furnishing and decor looked nothing like the hotel's website pictures. The room was dark and gloomy. The lighting was poor and the layout bizarre. The queen bed (which was very comfortable) was situated on a raised platform just under a peaked ceiling that was so low that it was impossible to stand up straight without whacking your head on the ceiling. And then there were the three steps one had to get down in the mid night dark in order to reach the toilet. The small sitting area had a loveseat that faced a wall with nothing on it, while the TV was on the wall opposite the bed. The only soap offered was lhe liquid variety (no soap bars) The room was uncomfortably warm and was not air conditioned.

Casa Valerio, an Italian restaurant near the hotel, was fantastic. We thought the food was equal to the best restaurants in Italy. It was so good that we ate there on two of the three nights we were in Chamonix.

We also highly recommend the the Helbronner cable car ride that is offered as an additional option at top of the main Mt. Blanc excursion. The scenery was breathtaking...equal to the Grand Canyon, Dolomites and Yosemite!

My family stayed here on our way to Italy from Geneva, and I was very satisfied. The room, which included a huge balcony, was great, with a beautiful view of the Alps and one side of the village. The heart of the city is easily accessible and in walking distance from Le Morgane. The people at the front desk were nice and spoke excellent English, especially a woman named Valerie. With all these pros, my family returned on our way back from Italy. This time, we had an even better view and bigger room! I was very glad to return to this welcoming hotel. Although there was nothing absolutely outstanding about it, I highly recommend it to any traveler who's looking for a nice, comfortable, stylish place to stay after a long road trip.

The hotel Morgane is modern, bright and contemporary. The service was excellent and the room very good. We had breakfast in our room each morning and could smoke on the balcony facing the mountains. Couldn't fault this hotel. Exactly what we needed for a well earned week away. We did not use the spa, but know that it was very popular. So good to have slippers and dressing gowns in the superior room we stayed in. Take a travel kettle though, if you like your tea and coffee in the room.

Clean room, two twin beds that seemed new, good breakfast and many places to eat, walking distance to everything, nice pool and spa. Our room had a view of Mt. Blanc. The gondola ride is two blocks away, and restaurants everywhere. Every employee spoke English, or enough to get by. The lobby is a good place to meet with your group, get organized, plan the days events. Right next door is a modern bar, breakfast is served just beyond that. Dinner as well. I would stay here again.........the town and hotel are wonderful.

Paid more than 250 euro for a night (even for high season it's expensie) but found a very comfortable room. Not big, but modern, very comfortable bed an great bathroom.
Location was great - the city is quite small and the hotel was easy walking distance from all major attractions - very close to Aguille.
Were able to do an early check in which was realy nice after a long trip.
Service was efficient (not very corteous but efficient) and fast.
I'd recommend, as the only downturn was the price.

I was upgraded to the junior suite on the 5th floor overlooking the town, nice view. Chamonix is an amazing place with its friendly people. I love this hotel too for the fact that the service is excellent. I have problems with the lighting and they sent someone in a second to change the light-bulb.

I will definitely come back here due to the hotel and the amazing town. Miss this place already.
